The egg toy is measured by its length. The 8 inch egg is best suited for pets weighing up to 40 pounds and the 12 inch egg is best suited for pets weighing over 40 pounds.

Perfect toy for herders

Have an Aussie, she is mid-size, 45lbs. We bought the small, and she can somewhat fit it in her mouth, but it’s slick and odd-shaped enough that she can’t carry

Have an Aussie, she is mid-size, 45lbs. We bought the small, and she can somewhat fit it in her mouth, but it’s slick and odd-shaped enough that she can’t carry it for long. Medium might have been the best choice for her size. She has left some puncture and scratch marks from teeth, but generally she cannot grab it very great, and will chase the egg around for hours! Want to take her to a baseball field and watch her herd it to her hearts content! For the price, the toy is worth the buy! Great Xmas present for our girl.

Didn’t last 5 minutes

I gave to my red heeler and he played with it for a few minutes and then when he tried to bite it, his teeth went right through. It’s a good toy- I do NOT recommend
