This made my dogs vomit like crazy. One dog had really bad diarrhea the day I started this food and is still throwing up 1.5 weeks after I switched him back to his old food. The other dog is holding up better but has thrown up twice. The macaroni recipe looks nothing like the photo and is 90% macaroni. The box packaging is horrible, super hard to get the food out and hard to open/close. Lastly, it’s expensive and I’m glad this was on sale when I got it. This isn’t the first thing I’ve tried from this brand and I don’t recommend this brand at all.
My dog loved this product. However one or 2 pouches is not enough and it's very pricey. I mixed with her dry food. She loves wet food. I bought it with a 50% discount for first time buying and then I bought it a second time with a gift card. Definitely a great product if you have a picky pup.
Bought for my sister's dog on sale for Christmas. She had some dental issues and teeth were pulled. She can only eat soft foods. We've tried a few rehydrated foods. Peebles will tolerate but does not always seem to enjoy. Gave her half a container of this and she went nuts. She ate every last bit and when we had to get past her to get something, we got the evil stare because she did not want to be disturbed. Definitely a winner.
My dogs absolutely love this food. I’ve tried the one that comes in the plastic bag that you can freeze and the one that comes in the box. My dogs like them both but they go crazy over the food that comes in the box. Although it’s a bit difficult to open the boxed food, it’s well worth the effort. I mix dry kibble in because I have six dogs so I have to be thrifty and add low sodium chicken broth. I free feed kibble and they get this food at dinner time. I’m happy to report all six of my furbabies lick their bowls clean. I have a senior Shih Tzu boy who’s missing a few teeth, a senior maltipoo girl that’s a bit picky, a young chug boy who loves to eat, a young terrier mix boy who’s also a good eater, a young maltipoo boy who loves the food and a two year old spoiled rotten Yorkie girl that jumps up and down with excitement at meal time. All six of them absolutely love the food.
Unfortunately this food did not work for my picky dog. Bob is 11 yrs young and has always been a picky eater. I have to cook chicken for her and she wants it fresh every time which can get difficult. I was hopeful for this food but she refuses to eat it. The food is nicely packaged and looks good but doesn't work for Bob.
I received this product as part of a free sample program. My dogs really enjoyed eating this dog food. I received a variety pack of Turkey/whole wheat macaroni, lamb/brown rice, beef/russet potato and Chicken/white rice. I have two dogs both with very different personalities and also eating habits. My English Cocker Spaniel will eat anything and everything under the sun, but my Terrier mix has to have a change of flavor every couple of days or he won't eat. This variety pack was perfect fit for both of them. When feeding time was nearing, they would become overjoyed at the smell of the food while I was preparing it. I would mix a little with their dry food and doing that alone they would gobble it all up. My English Cocker Spaniel was also having diarrhea daily and we attributed it to the wet food they were eating. While on Just Food For Dogs his diarrhea went away. I wholly recommend to anyone with a dog that has digestive problems to look into this brand for their dog.
Open your box when you get it. We have four lamb meals, two chicken and two turkey. No beef. My dog likes these if I serve them warmed up first. Unfortunately, her least favorite flavor is the lamb. Hoping I can get Chewy to make good on sending 2 beef that were missing and let me return the 2 excess lamb meals.
I like this food very much, it is quality food and each container is jam-packed - there is no skimping on quantity. I mix some in with my dogs dry food each night to make sure she is getting the extra nutrients she needs that this food has. The only thing I will say is that because my dog is such a picky eater, I have to put a little cooked salmon (which I eat frequently) in with the food and heat it up so the fish has a strong smell to it for her to eat the food. But once she gets into it, she cleans the bowl. So if I have to bait her a little to make sure she is getting the extra good nutrients, I don't mind doing that. Because my dog is small, I am able to feed 3 meals out of each box by mixing it in with her dry which helps on the cost of feeding fresh food to her. I do feel this food is better priced than some of the other fresh foods out there too.
From the first bite to the last. They cleaned their bowls. I have two very, very fussy standards. Have had issues all their lives to find a wet food they like.........No LOVE! This might be a bit pricier but it is worth it! And I have tried other fresh foods like this before and they turned their noses up at it. 5 stars from them!
I have one of the pickiest eaters, but he seems to like this food, he prefers the meals without rice and when I order more I will be ordering the ones without rice. Normally he will let his food sit all day but when I put these down with the potatoes or pasta he just eats them right up.
