I’ve used better
By BergerDad on Feb 3, 2019
The handle is nice, but he teeth of the rake are a little too short for a Bernese Mountain Dog. It does an OK job of getting the hair out, but it doesn’t trap/hold the hair very well, so the hair gets everywhere. I have another rake which has two rows of longer and equal length teeth, and that one holds all of the hair in the rake and makes no mess.

love it !!
By Brenda on Feb 9, 2019
Our red/blue heelers were shedding really bad !!All over the house and my furniture.. Just after a few days of combing them it made a real difference..softer coats and smelled better even, they are inside/outside dogs,so they get combed twice daily, but comb lightly, the teeth are a little sharp..It really pulls the undercoat out nicely!!

Sharp tips! Sounds like cutting fur & scraping !
By Onlyme on Dec 14, 2018 Top 100 Contributor
I have several Chris christensen grooming tools . I also have the green furmimator single row shedding rake ( nice rounded tips ) recommend this furmimator tool only ! (I will not use a furmimator blade tool since it cuts the hair) Just received the Jw double row undercoat rake for my Aussies - Sounds like it is cutting his fur when I tried for all of 5 swipes . He is very calm easy to groom on a grooming table and will fall asleep being groomed .(bi weekly ) He immediately did not like this JW double row undercoat rake . I felt it on my skin and know why! The tips are sharp. Sorry but this one is being returned

Great undercoat rake.
By Kris on Jan 4, 2019
Very nice handle it doesn't hurt your hand when using it, pulls hair out nicely and gently. Would recommend for medium size to large dogs. Too big for a cat it's hard to get around their belly where most of the undercoat usually lies at, if the head was smaller it would be perfect.

I have a German Shepherd that is always shedding. I have tried several different kinds of rake/deshedding type devises and found this one to work out best.

Great tool for tough coats
By VTpackMother on Sep 1, 2018
We've had 13 Siberian Huskies as sled dog house pets over the past 30 years, frequently 4 or 5 at a time so grooming has always been a constant activity. Finally, we all got too old to sled, the pack dwindled to one last husky and an arthritic old lady and even the grooming tools began to give up. This rake is actually the best design I've ever used. The tines are graduated (one row shorter than the other) so that thick matted fur can be caught and loosened without inadvertently scraping the dog's skin. Very well made tool. My huskyJimmy and I recommend it highly.

Great brush!
By Tree on Oct 4, 2018
This brush is great for my labrador. I never would have thought something so simple would do such a great job, but it really loosens up all the fur and lessens the amount that I am vacuuming up off the floor!

Great brush for double coat
By lirizarry1 on Sep 17, 2018
I was told by several husky owners that the ferminator brush damages the top coat on a husky. Huskies have two layers and we only want to remove the undercoat. I tried this one per a suggestion and it seems to work. Doesn't seem so harsh and sharp. .

Not for short to medium hair cats
By Tiffany on Nov 2, 2018
This brush is only for long hair cats, got it for my medium hair cats and doesn't get anything, the furminator still the best I have used yet

Just buy it
By klh1906 on Aug 20, 2018
I have a rough coat collie and it is shedding season.. I bought this because I saw another review made by a collie owner. So far I have used this twice on her and the amount of hair I have been able to pull off is UNBELIEVABLE. If you have a double coat dog, don't think twice--this should be your first pick.
