  • Has Strong Rubber Odor

First of all, my 2 dogs never liked playing with any ball. We tried. My overweight rat terrier is extremely food motivated so I bought this for her hoping the ball would slow down her eating and interest her in playing with a toy. None of the small treats I buy stay in the ball because the holes are so large. And I buy a variety of items from chewy. I'm guessing a large Milkbone type treat would fit and stay in but that would be easily broken in half in one bite. Without a treat in it she has absolutely no interest in the ball. She does love to chew on bones and the little Hartz hard plastic things with the hard treat made into it. Perhaps if the ball smelled different than the strong rubber she'd be interested, but who knows what she's thinking? I've seen her completely strip a tennis ball until it was smooth and it smells like rubber also. It's a great concept and I wish it worked for either of our dogs. I'll keep trying to get them to fetch or play. … more

  • Seems fun...

I actually bought this for my 70lb pit bull because he has a medical condition that makes it painful if he is too active. He doesn't really care for it but my 9lb chiweenie loves it. Definitely didn't think I was going to get neon pink for my two boys to play with though (I guess I'm more sad because I'm not a fan of pink! They don't care at all!) But I still haven't figured out how to get treats in it. I don't give super large treats and small ones definitely won't stay inside. That's the only reason I gave a 4 star. It's advertised as being able to hold treats but I never saw a recommendation on which ones or how it's challenging for the pup at all.

  • Aussies Loe Hol-ee Roller

    By on

I have 3 Aussies that play ball. One is a ball-a-holic. All of them and myself love the Hol-ee Roller balls. I have multiple sizes. Smaller (I think they call it a medium) to stuff in my pocket, 5" for me to tug with the dog, and a larger one the dogs like to used to tug with each other. My Aussies average 44-47#. They last a very long time. Often they are outside in the Southern California weather. Endless hours in the sun shortens their life, but I would guess they still last a couple of years.

  • Super fun Ball

This one is a must have! This is by far my dogs favorite toy! They seem a bit pricey but if you compare them to a regular soccer ball that your dog is just going to pop, it makes sense. This ball is great for a dog that has a drive to fetch. You can kick this ball too so you don't wear out your arm or have to pick up a slimy ball. Easy for dogos to carry or snatch from the air, She can even throw it up for herself and catch it again. Great fun! Over the years I have bought 5 of these balls. They are made out of natural rubber so the sun gets to them over time if you leave them out. They kind of feel like a Kong toy but they will NOT hold up to extensive chewing. Soft for catching, mouthing, even tug-o-war but not meant for an aggressive chew toy (Try an Orca toy for your chewer) Play fetch then put it away, should last a while like that. We left our first one outside 24/7 it was pretty gross after about 10 months of sun, snow, mud, and rain, just didn't feel right to let the dog put that in her mouth. lost the next one camping. the next one got taken out by puppy #2 (our chewer) before we realized what she was capable of doing to it. Just bought two more, one for each dog plus another orca ball for the chewer. Gotta love your Puppers! … more

  • Bulldog Approved

    By on

We were hesitant to buy this ball at first, because our bulldog is a chewer that loves to tear apart her toys. We decided to give it a try, and even when we got it we placed bets on how long it would last. BUT this ball has some how lasted her attempts to tear it apart. We've had this for about a month, but has become her favorite ball inside. She chews and tugs on this toy with all her strength and it still has yet to break. I would recommend for the anyone with a heavy chewer who loves to play tug, chew and tear at their toys. I'm looking into buying another one for her to keep in the car.

  • My Aussies Love

    By on

My two Australian shepherds love these toys. We had a blue one originally that lasted a few years, but it eventually wore out. Now, we have a red one. My female could smell it as soon as I opened the box and insisted I give it to her (tried to put on a chest of drawers to save until Christmas morning but she sat there looking up). Definitely a fav toy!

  • Let's play ball!

    By on

My pup loves this ball. I use this size outside and have a smaller one for in the house. She loves to fetch and tug of war with it. I love the larger ball since we can see it easily in the yard and I can easily hold it for the tug of war games. The smaller size I use inside is also useful for a busy toy. I stuff treats and cloth strips inside and she loves working at it.

  • My Dog's Favorite Toy

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I believe we have the size large. It's for my 46lb male Border Collie. He loves this ball so much. We play fetch with it indoors, which it's great for since it's lightweight and a lot softer in case it hits something. He carries it around the house since it's easy to grab. He chews on it. He shakes it. Sometimes he even lays on top of it! No complaints here. It's held up very well and we've had it for 2 months.

  • So many ways to play

    By on

This is my heeler mix’s favorite toy. He is not very good at playing by himself and usually gets bored and starts trying to destroy a toy if no one is there to throw it, tug on it, etc. With this there are so many options that it keeps him entertained and out of trouble. He can roll it and chase it, pounce on it, squish it, pick it up and shake it, and so much more.

  • Cool Toy...

    By on

This a cool toy but if you have a dog that likes to chew then you need to keep a careful eye on them when they have this. Mine chewed out one of the pieces within 5 minutes of receiving it. I have now tied a rope to it and use it out in the yard for him to chase and have tug wars with. We both have fun and get lots of exercise when playing with it.
