K9 Natural provides nutritionally sound and species appropriate diets to be fed to dogs at any stages of life varied through the correct, corresponding portions from puppies to seniors, during pregnancy and lactation. It is also suitable for any breed from toy to giant.K9 Natural diets for dogs is made with 90% meat plus 5% fruit and vegetables and 5% egg and green lipped mussel to ensure dogs have all they need to thrive. There is strong research - based evidence highlighting the benefits of a low - carb, meat - based diet free of contaminants seen in many foods today.
These benefits include: * High palatability for picky dogs being an instinctive diet choice. * Anti - inflammatory benefits including skin allergies and joint health. * Coat condition. * Energy levels. * Higher immunity and resilience to a range of health issues. * Well - functioning digestion seen in smaller healthier stools. * Hydration satisfied through eating rather than solely drinking retrospectively.
I was excited to try a healthier option for my doodle but she started scratching all the time her chin and licking paws etc so I had an allergy test done and she allergic to broccoli and green beans. Almost all these dog foods are putting this in thinking dogs need to eat like humans but they don't! They are carnivores! Anyway I'm still searching for a food without all the extra ingredients.
I train with positive reinforcement. In addition to the primary diet of the dog, instead of too many nutritionally unbalanced treats, (even single proteins from good sources create dietary imbalance if used to excess), my first go-to after using the dog’s main diet in training, is a range of high-quality complete diets, used as higher-value “treats”. As it happens, dogs largely prefer certain brands and flavors of the better freeze-dried complete diets, over most “treats” on the market. This is real win-win, meeting both training needs and health needs, with a per-treat cost which is often less than the smaller bags of unbalanced “treats” on the market. K9 Naturals tends to be a favorite of canines in the know, with lamb and beef being the usual top preferences. And it’s easy to handle and break into appropriate sizes for use in training. Each of the pieces in the photo shows how it comes, and can easily be broken smaller as needed, for training purposes. I like the larger bags, for cost savings. But, if you do that, even if you’re going to use it all up by the use-by date, I recommend sealing the bag tightly and keeping it in the fridge or freezer. Anything which is actually food, will gradually go stale and lose both nutrition and taste, long before the expiration date. (Think about stale chips, if you’ve ever had those.) With such a large bag, that just becomes even more important. It is really important to also look at the ingredient sources of food and treat choices, and to know what they mean. K9 Naturals uses not just “grass fed” beef and lamb, but “grass finished”. Which is a big difference. They also use a full range of the organ meats and green tripe, in balance with the muscle meat — one of the more important balances in a dog’s diet, which they attend to particularly well. On top of that, the total formula is made of best choices for dogs’ health. The quality stands out.
I first got some small snack packages different flavors for my dogs. One of my dogs loves crunchy food, the other dog loves chewy food. Both of my girls love this brand. Sarah and Belle love the beef the best.
I have 2 miniature poodles, one who is 11 and one who is 3. They both have very different systems, the 11 year old is prone to developing yeast blooms if she eats too much starch and the 3 year old is a high energy, picky eater, and has a hard time keeping weight on. This is the first food that has met both of their needs. My older dog has had no issues with yeast since switching to this food. My younger dog LOVES this food and always finishes her bowl. With other food she almost always walks away, uninterested, and it was difficult to keep her at a healthy weight. I'm so happy to have finally found one food that works for both dogs. To make feeding more convenient, I make about 3 days worth of food (adding water to the dried food) and refrigerate it. Easy for traveling too!
We recently adopted a bichpoo and who apparently was on a canned food diet and we wanted to switch him to dry food. He didn’t go for it, tried several brands. Got some of this K9 Natural, based on its good marketing and descriptions, and good reviews. Not only did He come straight over and started eating, he finished it! Highly recommend for the Finicky of eaters.
I seriously loved this food for my 4 pound boy.. but I just opened a new bag and the overwhelming smell of what I can only describe as Chemicals was so strong I knew I couldn’t feed it to my dog. Luckily I have other food as I have 4 dogs.. ( all fed natural raw) but I was pretty concerned wondering what it could be. I use K9 natural canned tripe also and love it.. this was strange and disturbing . I’d be happy to return this to be analyzed but I won’t be using it or would I ever let anyone else’s dog eat it,
Not cheap but worth every cent and wagging tail you get
I am impressed. First dog food my samoyed loves, she licks the bowl clean! I’m wondering how long it will last her. I also like that it’s easy to keep up with because feeding raw just seemed scary and overwhelming to me with having young kids.
My dog is very interested in this food. But she has diarrhea every time she eats it. I don't know why. I tried to add to it little by little every day, but it didn't work. So I don't think it is good fit for my pet.
I have a 4 year old female cocker and she has always been a finicky eater. I tried the K9 Natural and she hasn't left a crumb in her bowl. Also her poops are much better. Thank You!!
