Kalmbach Duck Pellets

I had 2 call ducks and went to this feed after the starter food. I hope they would take right to it but they didn't. Their bowl would still be full in the morning

I had 2 call ducks and went to this feed after the starter food. I hope they would take right to it but they didn't. Their bowl would still be full in the morning & they were really starting to worry me as I felt they just were not eating enough. Then they started to eat the duck and goose pellets but would go on streaks where they didn't eat it. So I am not sure if they really liked it. I use other types of feed from Kalmbach and have been very pleased with it

Wild ducks and geese came early ladt spring after I baught this old house with a tiny pond. THEY have filled my life with their antics and personalities. Had NEVER had or taken care of wild animals before. Must have tried 30 or more different feed for them over the last year.. Put in feeding trays (LABELED each)so I could figure out what they all liked and ate and which they didn't... Well this brand gets EATEN every time! They even Flip the feeding tray to Signify Its Empty and want more..lol

I keep this in a critter-proof vat in our storeroom. Pouring it into the bigger container allows me to see that there is no “junk” in the bag, sort of like when you buy sunflower seeds in a big bag and you find inedible twigs and stuff in it. This is good quality, and Fred the duck (and special friend Dorothy) both love it.

I have a few SUPER picky ducks who absolutely hate any sort of waterfowl pellets. I started putting these in a small dish off to the side of their feeding area and it's like I've put out a candy dish. The pickiest of them runs to the feeding area to "sneak" as many of the pellets as she can before I catch her. Obviously I have to play along that these are somehow a forbidden treat because they're like bratty little kids. Anything to get them to eat healthy food right?

Generally pleased with feed quality. Always order 4 bags at a time and wish they were more carefully shipped. Last batch of 4 bags, one was busted on the bottom

Generally pleased with feed quality. Always order 4 bags at a time and wish they were more carefully shipped. Last batch of 4 bags, one was busted on the bottom and quite a bit was spilled in the box. Very disappointed with that. Pleased with feed though, so far.

I have been setting out bird feed for a few months now and saw an ad for Kalmbach Duck and Goose Feed. It was about half the cost of what I have been feeding the

I have been setting out bird feed for a few months now and saw an ad for Kalmbach Duck and Goose Feed. It was about half the cost of what I have been feeding the birds in the lake behind my home. So the bag came today and I set a few cups out for the ducks and honestly, they did not move very quickly up to my fence where I usually drop the bird seeds. After a few minutes they all flew off. They returned maybe 15 minutes later down by the lake shore, I returned to my fence with the usual seed and feed. I noticed they did not eat the new feed and I dropped the usual feed along side the new feed and the ducks stayed eating the usual feed and seed I gave them. I don't know much about feeding birds, just my experience today that maybe they may have to get use to the new feed or maybe they won't except a change and just not eat the Kalmbach feed and go somewhere else? I suppose I will understand this later.
