my baby chicks under 8 weeks, did not eat the feed for starter chicks. They wasted about 3/4 of it and the hens also wouldn't eat it. Sorry but likely not going to go with your very recommended brand for growing out the chicks.

This food can be fed continuously as the sole ration to laying chicks from hatch to laying age (approximately 16 weeks) and to broilers, ducks, geese, and other meat-type poultry from hatch until harvest weight.

Will never buy anything not kalmbach!

I mix a bag of the 20% grower I mix a bag of Hen House reserve and a bag of Hen House Reserve love bug for my feed mix I love these crumbles they add a little bit

I mix a bag of the 20% grower I mix a bag of Hen House reserve and a bag of Hen House Reserve love bug for my feed mix I love these crumbles they add a little bit of extra protein to the mix the chickens obviously prefer the hen house Reserve pieces but I do like that they get this more whole complete food in there as well. I'll never not buy this brand of food

Chickens apparently hated it!

They would look at it and then turn away. Even when I tried switching around the bowls of food, they would figure it out and always go away from these crumbles

It didn't smell bad, so I don't know what the problem was. I ended up giving the rest away ... but don't know if my friend's chickens liked it any better.

The six chicks seem to like this much better than what I got to start with from the feed store I got them at. I appreciate that the ingredients are non GMO, and overall healthier. My sweet 6 “Steel Magnolia” chicks are thriving!

Food Chicks Love!

My baby silkies loved this feed so much, they won’t touch anything else. I don’t really know the difference between chicken feeds, but this one must be special. Purchased it for new baby silkies and started them out on it after reading reviews. When they recently were old enough for the grower feed, I purchased one that a friend uses and suggested. My babies won’t touch it. Been feeding them leftover Kalmbach while waiting for the Kalmbach grower feed to get here. So my chicks heavily endorse Kalmbach feed.

powder instead of crushed - not good

Feed is not in crumbles. It is powder and hard for chicks to eat. I bought this product before and it was fine. Disappointed this time.
