The Kaytee Chinchilla Bath House gives your pet chinchilla a place for dust or sand bathing. Instead of bathing in water, chinchillas need to take dust baths to absorb oils and dirt to keep their fur clean and healthy. The Kaytee Chinchilla Bath House gives them the perfect place to bathe, complete with bath sand that’s made to mimic the volcanic ash found in their natural environment. It’s made from a durable translucent plastic with an enclosed design that helps prevent the sand from spilling out.

Comes with one all natural dusting powder packet that is made from natural volcanic pumice

Believe it or not, I use the Chinchilla Dust Bath House as a nesting box for my doves. They love sleeping in it and also laying eggs. I put bedding material on the bottom. Very sturdy and hangs nicely inside their cage.
Great to use and affordable

I already had one of these, or a very similar one, but needed to order another when I got another chinchilla and needed to keep them completely separate--until I was sure the new guy was healthy--for a while. This was the most affordable, best style dust bath available, so I bought another. It's easy for my chinchillas to use and keeps the dusty mess as well contained as possible. Even though my chins are living together now, it is not a bad thing to have two of these. My elder chinchilla isn't great at sharing anyway and it's nice to have a second one.
Thanks for stocking these

We have six chinchillas and we've always had these houses for them. Over time the chinchis will chew holes and they will need to be replaced. None of the local pet stores carry these any longer. They are the standard and most durable we've ever had. Thanks for stocking them. Will be ordering them again.

Great bath house . Easy to clean and contains all the dust !
Glue and Chinchillas don't mix :)

I was so excited to get this dust bath in. My little boy likes to kick dust out if his current dust bath and I think it's getting too small for him.
But when I got the dust bath it took me almost an hour to remove the glue from the bottom of it. I ended up resorting to using a hair dryer to melt it off and using goo gone to get the rest off.
Why in the WORLD would Kaytee think this is OK??? Like it's for a chinchilla...imagine if that got in his fur or he chewed it! Very bad decision on their part!!

I think this is one of best dust baths for Chinchillas. It wont roll off of shelves because you can hook it to a wire cage and it wont go anywhere. My Chinchilla loves it.
glued dust to house??

why on earth would you GLUE the ENTIRE dust package to the bottom of the bath house? i can’t even use it now, as my chinchilla doesn’t need to be eating plastic. waste of $15.
Chinchillas like it

Chinchillas like it. But, could be a little bigger. My small chinchillas JUST FIT into it. Not much room to roll around in.
