well, first off you should not be letting bedding stay unchanged for 14 days. it isn't a good look to advertise something as controlling odor for 14 days when 10 days is about the max for 2 rats. it begins to smell in about half of that. it's normal bedding that needs a refresh - (take a scoop or something to turn the current bedding over so that soiled bedding goes to the bottom and also add some fresh bedding on top) - it begins to smell and needs a refresh in about 5 days, which is typical. it needs to be changed in 3-5 more days. that is the same as any other bedding. even though i just re-upped on this bedding accidentally, i'll be switching back to the regular kaytee bedding. in case you wanted to know - and it can be hard to see from the pics - this sort of bedding is in clumps of soft paper just like the regular kaytee bedding, not shredded paper or anything else sub-par. it's fine, just isn't any different from regular. i advise you to try a small bag if you doubt me and compare it to their original. my advice is to go with the original.
I go through a lot of paper bedding in my bunnies’ litter box. I like Kaytee’s extreme odor control bedding. It’s SUPER SOFT, especially compared with their regular stuff. I haven’t been able to test the odor control, although it does outlast my changes. I spot clean the poops in the litter box every day. I can’t imagine leaving them in their filth for 2 weeks. Their hay is in there, and I like to keep it clean. Hasn’t smelled at all, so it seems better than other paper bedding. I just have no way of testing how close to 14 days you’re going to get. I think the price is good too. I’m happy. Will probably buy again.
This is the best bedding I've ever bought for my child's hamster! It's very soft and really does expand so be careful how much you put in cages. Highly recommend people buy this product especially because you get to choose what size you need to buy!
I recently bought for my Guinea pig. It’s summer & not having central air makes her cage smell quicker. Not with this bedding. I changed her cage once a week now instead of 2 times a week. It lasts the whole week! No more smelly cage!!
I wish I could find something I like about this product, but I just can't. It's not for me or my guineas. Messy, it doesn't control their smell and just looks gross in their cage once soiled. I'll never purchase again.
do not like it for rabbit, please change order to lavender clean and cozy
I really like this bedding, it does the job.... it's just a bit pricey
My rabbit loves this bedding. She loves how comfortable it is and stays in her cage all day
Soooo the paper is inconsistent first I got very soft cotton like paper my Guinea loved it and the odor control was amazing! I just opened a pack this week and it’s the cheep paper that is hard. It has only been in his cage for two days and already stinks. It’s not the right paper at all but the exact same order and packaging as the first one I opened. Now my little guy won’t even lay in his hidy hole bc he hates the paper so much! What a waist of almost $30. I like this product when I get the correct paper but how do I know what I’m gonna get?
Loved this bedding for my bunnies! Super soft and my bunnies love napping ontop of it. However it doesn’t 100% prevent odors, must scoop frequently to prevent unwanted odors.
