I usually always purchase a different brand called care fresh small pet bedding in the beach party color or if it’s a holiday I buy the holiday colors and my rabbit has loved that one for years but recently I decided for no reason, which was dumb of me to purchase a new different brand, so I bought the Kaytee clean and cozy extreme odor control bedding for his litter box and he hates it so much he keeps kicking it all out of his box. Even if I put less in there he doesn’t want it in his litter box. So now I have to go purchase our usual bedding so he will use the litter box.

The name says it all!

I used this with a breeding colony of mice and it helped control odor (male mice = stinky) so it reduced the number of cleanings by half and there was no dust.

Unfortunately, I am allergic to pine and the other wood options were just not the best choice to keep my mice healthy. This may cost a little more, but since you don't have to change it as often, it evens out.

This bedding really does mask odor well and seems very absorbent. I always add a thin fresh layer of bedding daily for a few days until I completely clean out the tray, which is about every third day and this seems to last many days longer. It's also extra cushioned for when our rabbit jumps in and out of the potty tray. I always fluff and spread the bedding so there are no hard clumps to step on and this bedding seems to take longer for me to set up the tray because of how tightly packed it is and harder to break apart and spread compared to the Kaytee Clean & Cozy Natural bedding. And this has nothing to do with the quality of the bedding, but for the first time my rabbit has tried to nibble on it several times which she has not done with her other bedding in the past. I am hoping it might be because it is new to her and she is checking it out.

Gentle on paws

I normally use pelleted bedding in my rabbit’s litter box, but decided to give this a try. It does control odor better than the pelleted litters, and it seems dust

I normally use pelleted bedding in my rabbit’s litter box, but decided to give this a try. It does control odor better than the pelleted litters, and it seems dust free too. I think this is gentler on paws than the pelleted litters as well. My rabbit is a lionhead with long hair, and the smaller pieces do get stuck to his hair and track around a bit, which is my only reason for removing a star.

Have used their other products that were a little better and lasted 2-3 days between changes.

Is not compostable!

I bought this because the bag advertised odor control. Which did work great, but I thought the bedding was paper and compostable. Turns out in the fine print it

I bought this because the bag advertised odor control. Which did work great, but I thought the bedding was paper and compostable. Turns out in the fine print it also has scraps of human sanitary products. This became apparent after I noticed the bedding not composting in my compost pile and my household was in-advertently spreading micro plastics and nylon. If you use this litter throw it in the trash. I am sticking with Carefresh which says on the bag compostable!

It was clean and smelled good as well as feeling fresh.

It felt soft but also substantial so I knew it wouldn't hurt Mo's feet. It was also very substantial so I knew it'd keep her cage dry.
