Why does my guinea pig eat the bedding, and is it ok for him to?

While this bedding does not contain harmful chemicals or by-products, animal consumption of any bedding product should be avoided.
And it isn't scented, right? Small mammals generally get URIs mostly because of scented products, so is this unscented? And is it paper? Small mammals usually can choke or get stuck in cotton bedding, so I just want to make sure this is paper and is 100% safe for all small mammals :)

Best rabbit litter/bedding

I used to avoid "white" litter because I worried about bleaching chemicals, however it is so easy to spot clean pee areas! It is also soft and a young male rabbit has made a smaller litterbox his bed for now. It kinda clings to itself and doesn't disperse spread all over the house like some other paper litter. All in all I will keep buying it as it suits my and the rabbits needs the Best!

DO NOT USE THIS LITTER

We've have a Roborovski Dwarf hamster for the last 2 years. She has always done well with CareFresh bedding. I ordered this Kaytee brand just to try it out. This bedding was super dusty but I didn't think anything of it. After two weeks of using this bedding, I've noticed our little Cupcake is struggling to breath and is wheezing. I Googled what it could be and it mentioned it could be due to bedding. I put 2 and 2 together and realized this garbage litter was killing our little hamster. I'd love the Kaytee people to reach out and tell my little 5 year old daughter that her hamster, whom she LOVES, will most likely die due to their HORRIBLE product!!!!

Great for online purchases

This works great for Guinea pigs. Works even better if you mix it with the litter pellets I have two chunky babies and they do a lot of droppings so works great also easy fast delivery and super reliable def recommend

KAYTEE Clean & Cozy

I used it for hamster bedding, I love it! I used a different product before and was not happy with the smell. This product is affordable, absorbent, and great for controlling odor. The way it's compressed makes a little go a long way.

Used To Be My Favorite

This used to be my favorite bedding to get for my guinea pig, but the last three bags of it that I've gotten have been full of hard, pokey, and scratchy pieces... Not sure what's going on, this used to be the softest bedding out there. I'm upset about it because it genuinely was mine and my piggy's favorite bedding.

Best I have found for rabbit litter

This litter is the best I have found. I use it for my rabbits litter box. It controls odors, and he likes to sit in it when he is chilled in winter.

This litter is Dusty

This litter is very dusty, fine white dust everywhere around the outside and inside of the cage. I was using it in my cavey's bed because it is so soft for her to sleep on and was working well as long as I spot cleaned it often. BUT I could even see the white dust on her dark fur, I started looking for a replacement, BUT then she started sneezing that was it no more of this!!! I just can't feel good about or, recommend this product for any small animal!!! Their respiratory tracks are so sensitive and they can get respiratory infections from their litter. I changed to fleece pads for her bed I have to wash them daily but no more sneezing, it is worth it for her health!

My go-to for rat bedding!

I normally can find this is stores, so it is convenient to buy locally as well. Has a good amount for the price. I have two rats with a larger setup. Not the best for odor control, but is soft and dusty-free.

3cats and a ferret

Love being able to order my cat food and litter along with my ferret food and cage bedding. They have the same products and they always come quickly. I don't have to haul 40 pounds boxes of litter home. They also have flea and tick medication and I love the auto ship, you can adjust how often you want your supplies. Easy peasy!
