While seeds can be fed to sun conure, they are high in fat and lack key nutrients. A healthier option is a pellet-based diet that is nutritionally balanced and complete. Seed-based products can be offered to pet birds as occasional treats to supplement a pelleted diet made specifically for pet birds (and appropriately sized for a sun conure).

Agreed, Too Much Junk in the bag

I've been buying this for years for my 3 birds and have been very happy; however, the quality has gone down so much lately that I'm switching brands. (Still 'testing'

I've been buying this for years for my 3 birds and have been very happy; however, the quality has gone down so much lately that I'm switching brands. (Still 'testing' options) Specifically, my issue was that in the last 2 bags I found sticks, cockleburs and DUST BUNNIES. It looked like the floor was swept and everything dumped into the feed. Also found were BUGS. I still found them a week after getting rid of the seed. IF you still buy this, some advice. Even if you empty the bag (into an air-tight container) upon receipt, Kaytee recommends you SAVE the BAG and RECEIPT or they will not be able to stand behind the product (quality?).

Pricey but quality

I inherited parrots from my Mom and this is what she was feeding her birds for years. Once you start, you can't stop ordering bc your birds won't eat anything else!

I inherited parrots from my Mom and this is what she was feeding her birds for years. Once you start, you can't stop ordering bc your birds won't eat anything else! It's quality with fruit, seeds and nuts the birds like! My only wish is that there was a sale periodically with Kaytee. It's always about $100 every 2 months.
