Too Soon to Tell, But Mares Like It.......

I would give this supplement 5 stars if I had a couple more months to get feedback from my farrier and to notice how my mares responded over a longer period of time

I would give this supplement 5 stars if I had a couple more months to get feedback from my farrier and to notice how my mares responded over a longer period of time. If I had to base the rating on how well my mares like it I would give it 5 stars! I have 3 mares who can be very picky about what gets added to their grain. All 3 of my mares did not hesitate to eat their grain. Prior to adding the supplement to their grain I actually smelled it and didn't find a offensive scent to it, which typically will cause the mares to not eat a supplement. The pellets resembled their normal grain. I will continue to add this supplement to their grain over the next few months as I do feel it will be a good addition to their diets.

I have been looking for a goof supplement for my draft as his hooves have been chipping/cracking. I have been using this for about 2 weeks. It states to feed 1 cup per day per head. I was disappointed to see there was no measuring cup provided. Usually supplements come with a measuring cup. Other than that I have not seen a huge difference yet but I have not been using it long enough. I will definitely keep using if it improves his feet.

Decent product just has a strong scent to it.

I have been feeding this product to my senior gelding with white hooves in hopes to help strengthen them and help with winter breakage. The feed instructions were

I have been feeding this product to my senior gelding with white hooves in hopes to help strengthen them and help with winter breakage. The feed instructions were very helpful and simple. My biggest complaint is the smell. This product has a very strong almost garlic scent to it. I store all my feed in an old freezer and with this product in with it everything now has the same scent. My gelding thankfully isn't super picky but I can tell if I don't get it mixed in well enough with his feed he tries to eat around it. I haven't seen a significant improvement in his hooves but I've only been feeding for about 45 day and my farrier hasn't mentioned anything yet either.

I have a senior foundation quarter horse that has thin hoof walls. His feet chip & crack very easily. He needs to be kept on a hoof supplement at all times. I have been using this Kent / Blue Seal Hoof Care Supplement on him for a few weeks. It is helping grow out the giant chip in his front hoof. I will keep him on this hoof supplement to prevent any new chips from occuring.

I have 3 OTTB and all have various hoof issues. This Sentinel Hoof supplement with biotin has hoof supporting ingredients in pellet form. Feed one cup a day. It has molasses in it so I was hoping my picky geldings would eat it. It doesn’t smell great and even my omnivore mare was skeptical. Two out of three finished it which was more than I expected. Powder would have been worse. The bag is small enough that I don’t mind having it shipped, and would probably last a month. Hopefully it will make a difference in their feet!

The Kent / Blue Seal Sentinel Care Hoof Support arrived in an easy to carry bag that includes a handle. The product appeared fresh with a very earthy aroma. The instructions are very clear and easy to administer with a standard measuring cup. As far as effectiveness, the results may take quite a while to be apparent but I am looking forward to any improvements for my 2 OTTBs feet as they notoriously have issues. Both my boys are eating this up without any problem.
