Perfect for two cats
I got the 'medium' size so that my two cats could use it together in my house. They LOVE it. My only concern is that they won't spend time with me any more! One cat isn't doing very well, so the washable cover with extras available is very welcome.
Totally awsomely great bed!
My 13-year-old Border Collie recently decided that he preferred the great outdoors. So I got him the biggest heated dog bed. He jumped on it immediately and decided it was his favorite place. It got down to 11-degrees the other night; I thought he would be frozen. Wrong! He jumped out of bed for his two hour walk. Despite his arthritis, he was ready to hit the road. Awesome bed.
Our cat loves it but our dogs won't use it
We got two of these beds, one for our cat and one for our poodle mixes for after they got haircuts in the winter. They all sleep indoors but the house can still get chilly. Our cat loves it and uses it regularly but the dogs seem to find the sound it makes and its texture a little uncomfortable and still haven't used it. That being said, I do think it works well and seems to be good quality.
Have five cats who live in an insulated shed made just for them when they cannot be outside. This bed is perfect. Two or more at a time fit on it quite well. They seem to love it.
This bed was GREAT for the first winter we had it, but then the heating element stopped working this year. For a $100 plus item from Chewy, I was very disappointed that they offered no replacement on the heating element. Generally Chewy is awesome, but this one left a bad taste in my mouth. For my family, $139 is a BIG investment for our dog. We don't have a good way to keep her warm outside when we are gone and this seemed the perfect option but I guess we should have done something else. Really upsetting to get about 5 months out of this one.
Okay but cats don't use it
The instructions suggest it inflates a bit, which it doesn't, and warmth is really minimal. I put it in an enclosed, but unheated, porch and my 4 cats (7 month old brothers) have not used it yet (2+ weeks). Design-wise, the edge (brown in the picture) is so low relative to the heating pad it's not very "cozy" -- more just a flat pad. Maybe when temps go way down they'll reconsider!
I bought this for my "adopted" feral cats that live on my screened in porch. The momma cat hasn't been on it yet. It took 2 weeks until one of the 6 month old kittens tried it out. Now she is on it every night. Just this week I see that she has a sleeping partner, her sister. I love this knowing they have a safe warm bed at night when it gets chilly!
It is mine now
As soon as I put the bed down on the floor and plugged it in Babe was right on it. It was meant for the outside stray cat but Babe made it her own. Now to wait for another cat bed before it gets to cold outside.
Dog loves it
Extremely tough and well made. Very sturdy/safe electrical cord. Dog didn't move off of it all night. Our master bedroom can be cold especially near the floor. We're glad to find a heated bed for our German Shorthair.
Cozy and inviting
I have it in a dog house that I purchased for feral cats. Big hit. The cats are using it already and it is not cold yet in Wisconsin (Our autumn seasons are staying warmer, longer - climate change). I think because it is soft and cozy. My previous one was hard, but worked. Happy to have this.
