K&H Pet Products EZ Mount Deluxe Bolstered Kitty Sill with Cat Grass Grow Station Cat Window Perch, Gray

I purchased this cat sill over the hundreds of available ones because it's oversized and looked very comfortable from a cat's perspective. K&H has also generally been a reliable brand. Unfortunately there's two design flaws with this perch that prevent me from recommending it. The size of it and the way everything comes together make it EXTREMELY noisy. Like a teenager trying to sneak down stairs in a 120 year old house in the middle of the night noisy. My cat weighs just under 11 lbs. She is not a large cat. She's also very skeptical and easily frightened. So you can imagine what the experience of getting into a perch that makes a noise at the slightest movement has been like for her. The few times she has persisted enough to actually lay down she has loved it. But that has been infrequently. The second design flaw is that while the cat grass pocket is a cute touch the likely hood you will have it occupied with grass all of the time is very slim. Which just leaves an open hole with a mesh pocket that is very easy for your cat to get their claws stuck in. This is a minor nitpick though. I was hoping the noise issue would get better but after 5 weeks it has not.
