Bought another....
I definitely recommend this kitty perch. I have two kitty's weighting much more than they should. We attached it to the window- and the sill placed 2x2 up against the bottom of the window.... SUSHi my 25 pound + kitty just loves looking out the window. It stays more supported and in place and level. Giving me peace of mind with her sleeping on there most of the days. I'm not sure if k&H can devise something in the future to assure the heavier weights of future cats.
Worked for 8 days
This is a nice idea in theory but it only stayed attached to my window for 8 days before dumping my 8 pound cat on the floor as she was sleeping. This happened because 2 of the suction cups released. She’s fine but this is a piece of trash. As you can see in the photo, it was resting on the windowsill because I nervous about the suction cups and wanted to make sure it would stay attached before putting it up higher. I have 3 cats and it’s certainly possible that one of them was playing on this bed and loosened it prior to this. I did not see any of the cats jump directly on the bed since they jumped up to the windowsill or a nearby perch first and then walked on to the bed. But it should be able to withstand medium cats jumping on it. My biggest cat is 11 pounds and he was afraid of this bed since it slightly moved as he walked on. The other cats are 10 and 8 pounds. For reference, I’m also including a photo of the 8 pound cat from when the bed was attached to the window to show her size. I followed the directions carefully with cleaning the window and using hot water on the suction cups, etc. Like I said, it was sitting on the windowsill to start so I can’t imagine it would work for any amount of time without a windowsill to support it. The legs are not very sturdy and slid down the wall slightly when a cat stepped onto the bed. I still have the box and will be returning this. I do not recommend this product and I’m baffled as to how this has so many good reviews when it’s clearly so flimsy.
Skeptical but love it!
I was skeptical this thing would hold up since they only use suction cups. It’s been on the window for almost 2 years! I only had 1 suction cup that I had to press back on. It even holds up 2 cats occasionally. This is worth the money and works perfectly, just follow the directions on the suction cup placement. You can even remove the cover and wash it!!

I settled on this bed because it has three suction cups plus the brackets underneath for extra support and does not need to be screwed into the window frame. Installed it on a south facing picture window, simple and took less than ten minutes. Started putting my 5-year-old, 13 pound kitty on the bed and petting her to show her it is safe and to let her feel the sun. After about two weeks hooray, kitty started using the bed on her own. Now she will not get off of the bed and it is her favorite spot in the house. The only downside is she spends all her time on the window bed now instead of cuddling with me. But this bed is an absolute winner if your cat (like most cats) loves soaking in the sun, once they decide (not you decide) to start using it they will not stop.

Our cat really enjoys the observation qualities this perch allows him and the sunning possibilities on a nice day. Easy to assemble and easy to move for cleaning the window or packing away.
Easy to Install, Kitty loves it!
I was able to put this up successfully in about 5 minutes. I like that it doesn't take up too much space or block the light. So far it's pretty sturdy, the suction cups are quite large so seems they will hold up over time. Kitty took to it immediately, she's already cozied up on her perch where she can watch the birds and squirrels. Hopefully this will keep her from chewing the computer cords in my office while I wfh.

My cat lives on this.
Since we got this, if maxxyman is not 1. in his cardboard box, 2. on my chest/lap, 3. on my satin pillow, he is sleeping on this. he is on this i would say, 85-90% of the time (like right now). I have it right above my head when I sleep - that’s how much I trust this. I cleaned the window and did everything as per the instructions. I do check it before bed sometimes, just in case (max is getting a little hefty there, i must say - he’s 12 lbs) and I press the suction cup in (like you would when you install it), and it’s never budged. I feel like as long as you read the directions, there’s no way this isn’t gonna stay on your window (unless you have some sort of.. coating or tint, i don’t know. i’m not a window person). i have had it for a few months now, and haven’t cleaned the window since installing it, but plan to this coming week. just because windows get dirty, especially with a cat constantly around it, and my son loves to pet max when he’s up on his perch, so handprints and all that. and i think the directs said to do that monthly, maybe (oops. but don’t quote me). so i’ll take this down, clean the cover, window, suction cups - let dry, all that, and put it back up. i do have a table next to my bed that he uses to get on this, and it’s not a big jump away (if that makes sense) because i don’t want him putting more weight on this, from jumping on the edge of it, than he needs to. i’d definitely have something close by that your cat can use to get up on it just so they don’t wear it out, ya know? but yeah, 10/10, recommend to everyone i know with a cat. so glad this is the one i chose to purchase!

Bigger in person than I anticipated but made one of them work. Couldn’t find my cat this evening and she was perched up on it. We shall see how well the suction cups hold

Love this! Within 5 minutes of installation, my Devon boy, Laszlo, was blissed out and soaking up the rays. Huge hit! It’s good sized and sturdy. Important: Read the directions! I have the windowsill version of this perch too, so decided to give it a try. Generally K&H products have been great.
