What’s the difference between Kong Traxx and Kong tire for extreme chewers?

Answer by ChewyAug 04, 2018
The Kong Traxx Dog Toy and Kong Tires Dog Toy are the same product.

Is it edible? Is it pure plastic?

Answer by ChewyApr 16, 2019
This rubber exercise toy was not designed to be ingested but may be filled with treats to make it extra exciting for your pup.

Is this toy made in the USA?

Answer by ChewyOct 10, 2018
This toy is made in the USA.

Does this tire have texture on the outside that would be easy to be chewed off? My dog always goes for any raised up texture/patterns on toys and I don’t want him ingesting rubber and getting an upset tummy.

Answer by ChewyMar 19, 2019
The treads on this tire toy floss between teeth creating a slightly raised surface.

In-law's dog must be part hyena because it chews EVERYTHING and destroys 99% of all toys designed for 'aggressive chewers.' Time will tell on the longevity of black Kong products (in this specific case, he loves the tire), but at least this thing doesn't sound like a cinder block when he drops it on the floor (or your toe).

Very durable

My 16 month old belgian malinois has had this for about 3 weeks and it has held up! I just wish it came in a larger size. Kong extreme hasn't failed us yet.

Easy to grip for tug-a-war

Lupe loves to play tug games but I often get accidentally bit when we play with a Kong. The tire always for hard chewing and a good grip for tug games!

Tough!

Most rubber toys get destroyed by our very aggressive chewer in a few days but so far, these last for about 2 months.

Great toy

So far so good my lab hasn’t chewed this toy up. I put peanut butter in the middle and let her so. This is way better than a puzzle, she gets done in seconds this

Durability

We’ve had 3 or 4 of these throughout my dog’s long lifetime. We love them. More durable than most other toys.

This is the 2nd one we bought, and only because the first one was loved to death over a YEAR. This is the favorite toy of a Black Lab who LOVES TO CHEW THE HECK

I used to have a pitbull who was an extreme chewer, and I found the black kong ball which worked amazing and lasted awhile. I seen this tire and thought it would be a good fit, however I didn't realize how small it was. My boy managed to destroy it in 2 days, if you have a larger dog I highly recommend getting the solid black kong ball so it lasts

Not for aggressive chewers!

I ordered the medium/large tire. It is quite small for a large dog. Also, very thin and flimsy. Not at all appropriate for an aggressive chewer!
