Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
Genius toys are great for puppies and adult dogs alike. Even though these are tough, they aren't intended to be used for chew sessions.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!! It is dangerous. I had SUCH high hopes!! I LOVE the Kong hard rubber toys because they DO last long for heavy chewers. I’ve had the pacifier and Kong treat ball through the last four labs and a litter of lab puppies with the puppy size pacifier too! In fact it was SO well loved by every puppy, I sent a new one home with each puppy. This Kong toy was completely chewed up almost to the middle in less than ten mins I was out of the room. With pieces all over the house— then I had to worry that one of my two adult labs had swallowed a part of it. I found out pretty quickly when she threw up parts of it, then had to watch her closely every potty trip for two days to make sure she was pooping ok. As far as the deal, buy one and get another must have kong- check details? I have tapped on “details” in every way I can and nothing happens.
My pup doesn’t usually destroy any rubberized toys aside from the latex pigs that are flimsy and begging to be gutted. But Kongs and other similar toys from west paw stay looking more or less brand new even with heavy use. I saw the reviews on this but decided my dog isn’t one of those chewers (of this kind of toy) and tried my luck. We have had it a couple of months now but only used it maybe 4x. Today he decided to just chew the side off while laying right next to me and it only took a moment. I wish I had bought a second Qwizle by West Paw instead but I’m always looking for novelty and differences among toys like this to make sure it stays interesting.
Our girl loves this toy. It’s perfect for me to just throw some kibble & training treats in for when I don’t have any frozen kongs made and she needs to go in her pen. She loves her other treat dispenser ball, but it is much harder than this one to use in her pen. She is normally a pretty thorough chewer (destroys plush & plastic toys, no squeakers gone unremoved), but she hasn’t tried to destroy this one. Is usually a little bit too difficult for her if we try to put a bone in there, but sometimes she can get it out. Don’t put peanut butter in it though… too hard to clean
I have always supported Kong products however this one was destroyed by dog in less than 10 mins.
I bought this for my medium size dog who destroyedthe treat dispensing balls. I wanted something that he could eat his food more slowly. It fits his kibble inside and makes him eat a lot more slow and interactive . It is very durable like standard kong cone
NOT INTENDED FOR HEAVY CHEWERS So many of the negative reviews are because their dogs will chew items to pieces, this is NOT the item for you if your dog is like that. The Genius line of Kongs are intended for mental enrichment and entertainment, NOT boredom. While it is a kong brand, it is not the same heavy duty material that the standard/original kongs are. I have had several of this toy for years, and none of my bullies have destroyed them (they also don’t spend hours chewing on toys/random things because they’re bored, that’s just not the kind of animal they are). THIS WORKS BEST WITH KIBBLE, not large treats. My dogs love rolling it around and having pieces of food fall out! They also flip it end over end and get them out that way as well. If you fill it (the large probably holds about a 1/2c of kibble) it can easily keep your pet entertained for an hour or more.
My Lab destroyed this in less than an hour and swallowed the pieces. Do not recommend
Our 70 lb doberman mix loves this toy. We split a dental chew in half and put both pieces in and it takes him a while to get them out. We have had the same one for years and it has held up.
This toy is lots of fun! My 60lb Pointer mix has a ball with this toy. The Purina DentalLife small/medium chews fit perfectly in the Large genius. Over time he developed a method, and now it's about a half hour of tossing and chewing fun to get the treat out. They don't last forever. We've been getting about 2 months of daily use out of one. This is usually a supervised activity. So far when they've bit the dust it's been breaking apart at the rings but like others if you have a really aggressive chewer, the material is more brittle than other Kongs. Overall, this is one worth routine replacement here.
This is our favorite enrichment toy to use with our pup and she LOVES it. We fill it with cheese, crunchy treats, chicken, or literally anything she loves. She will spend hours playing with this to get the food out.
