My dog became entangled in this hammock

This hammock in my opinion is a poor design...maybe most of them are, as this is my first one to try. It fails to stay in place. The 3 times I've used this, my dog

This hammock in my opinion is a poor design...maybe most of them are, as this is my first one to try. It fails to stay in place. The 3 times I've used this, my dog has ended up under it on the floor. I had to stop, get him out and resecure the entire hammock the first 2 times. The 3rd time he was back under it not long into our ride, but was able to find his way back up on top. Later into my trip, he was back not only under it but he came back up through the huge velcro seat belt opening, which because it's so large, it leaves the seat exposed to be damaged. When I was able to stop to get him out of it, he was also tangled in the thin rope that's on the underside that is supposed keep the hammock secured. The seat anchors are worthless too. The ends of the hammock are so floppy, leaving it loose and the edges of the seat unprotected. He is always secured with his harness and buckled to the seat belt. I even shortened the length of his teather hoping that would keep him from being able to get under it but that didn't help. We will see what happens on our trip home.

This does not have a non slip backing so I put down a yoga mat on my seats. Also the backing deteriorates and gets on everything.

I struggled to fit this in my SUV. Because it is plastic the cold temperature outside made it very difficult to smooth out and straighten. It was stiff from the cold and I couldn't get it to fit or straighten it out on the seat. I gave up and took it out of the vehicle. It may work better for warmer climates but not well under 50 degrees.
