How much can I can and too 1 gallon of water

Answer by ChewyJan 04, 2022
For Water Dosage: Using the smaller of the enclosed scoops (125 mg measure), place two scoops of vitamin powder in each ounce of drinking water. Using the larger of the enclosed scoops, place one scoop of vitamin powder per two cups of drinking water. The vitamins will dissolve slowly without mixing. A fresh solution should be mixed daily to ensure potency. For Food Dosage: Your bird will need only half the small scoop dosage suggested in drinking water when mixed into food that will be complete eaten. During stress or sickness, double the recommended dosage. Keep the container closed when not in use. Store below 72F and at low humidity.

Can this be given to doves?

Lafeber Avi-Era Powdered Bird Vitamins is suitable for all birds.

Is this a probiotic for parakeets

Answer by ChewyFeb 10, 2023
The Lafeber Avi-Era powdered bird vitamins do not contain a pre or probiotic. These vitamins are designed to supplement birds who have a nutritional deficiency or are at risk of nutritional deficiencies from selective dietary consumption (seed mix, human food diets), incomplete diets, overwhelming stress and medical diseases. When mixed with water or sprinkled on food as directed and consumed by the bird, this vitamin supplement provides the patient with the 13 essential vitamins along with iodine for improved overall health.

My 13 year old green cheek conure was having some issues with her wing feathers. Loosing feathers and they were quite thin. Her vet started her on this and her wing feathers improved. I now buy it from chewy as it’s half the price as the vets! Wish I knew this before I got it from the vet.

I purchased these vitamins to make sure my conure was getting everything she needed. Within 2 days after I started sprinkling it in her food I noticed she was more active and she became more vivid in her coloring to the point she looks prismatic in the light. The only drawback is the attack I’m under when opening the bottle because you all know bottles are enemies of conures. I highly recommend this product.

It's a great product!

Mixes easily with water and contains iodine (a necessary nutrient) while most other bird supplements do not. Been using this for years for my Macaw!

Pigeon Safe!

I recommend this vitamin mix to all pigeon rescuers. My flock prefers it sprinkled on top of their seed instead of mixed into their water.

My birds have never been interested in kibble, so I feed them conure/small hook bill seed, mixed with treats, and a small amount of kibble. Then I give the conures and the small birds water with vitamins added. I have the scoops from different size jars, so I give the conures a big scoop in their 12ounce bowl of water, and the canaries, dove, and quail a small scoop in their 4 ounce bowls

Works for any size bird

I was a bit concerned that a parrot was on the cover, but the little spoon inside is so small it would work for a finch. I needed for my 25 year old cockatiel
