This brand and flavor of critical care food did the trick. My bunny was suffering from an issue related to his kidney, and this critical care-style food helped get him back to good. My vet recommended this kind to me. My bunny ate it mixed with water on top of some greens for several days in a row. (My vet told me how much to give based on weight and health issue.) If your bunny needs critical care food, I recommend trying this brand and flavor. Of course, always talk to your vet first.

This powder is a huge benefit when stomach-tube feeding tortoises of any age who are too weak to eat on their own. Additionally, those that come to me in a weakened state but are still able to nibble on the diet I prepare for them, I can top-dress with this powder for faster and wholesome nutritional supplement to help them gain strength.

Helped Ziggy get through some tough times with urinary crystals and tooth issues! He enjoyed it much more than the banana flavor we tried from another brand. Got our first bag of this from the vet and the second through Chewy, with a couple weeks of syringe feedings and medication he's doing a ton better!

Possibly with more nutritional content than Critical Care? I started using this for my bunny (I mix his daily liquid meds into it) when the Banana-Apple flavor was out of stock for months from Oxbow. We switch back and forth now but the bunny prefers this to the other emergency foods we tried.

Luckily, I have not had to use this to help a bun recover yet because nobody has gone into stasis, but I tested it out anyway and let them all try it. Two out of five buns ate it all, but the others do tend to be more picky. Of note, one that finished it doesn’t like the flavor of another recovery brand. I like that this is very easy to mix. There’s an included measuring teaspoon/ tablespoon. I’ll be reusing that after this bag is done. It mixed easily, and the consistency was very easy to change with little water, so I had a mix between the five from watery mix to a more firm edible texture. I am sure it will work great in a syringe. It also smells nice, with a light minty fragrance. This says it has vitamins to boost the immune system and prevent sickness, which is always big with rabbits. As my buns are getting older, I love to have recovery meals on hand. Anyone who owns rabbits knows the value of these. I def recommend this one based on the buns opinions when healthy, the breakdown of ingredients and analysis listed, and the ease with which the texture can be manipulated.

I use this product to care for my aging Guinea pig, as well as ones who become ill. This product provides all the nutrition to aid the exotic pets getting better, helping with necessary weight gain, and to provide them with extra strength nutrition. I have eight rescued Guinea pigs and I would be lost without this product. I highly recommend it! They seem to like this product over other products on the market.

I have 7 rabbits of which one of them has frequent “pre-stasis” episodes such that his digestive system is rather sluggish. He might not eat his usual amount of food, and his poops are small and very few. He tends to groom the other bunnies, thus causing obstructions in his system. I gave him the recommended serving size of EmerAid Sustain Herbivore Recovery Food for his body weight, and within 6 hours I saw a significant change. He was eating more hay, drinking more water, and poops we’re back to normal size and quantity. This product does exactly what it was intended to do. To aid in digestion while providing the nutrients necessary to maintain and aid in the recovery from typical bunny ailments. The flavor (mint) was very appealing to all my buns. I decided to sprinkle a small scoopfull (provided with the product) onto their fresh greens. Not only did they eat everything, it appears that they all have healthier poops. This is a great product to keep on hand, as part of your at home pet meds, so that if/when needed, you can use it, until you can get in to see a vet. I store the remaining airtight sealed product in the freezer to maintain the product quality and freshness.

I tried this for my guinea pig, I noticed he wasn’t eating as much. It made a noticeable difference. He was struggling with appetite and GI motility, but after starting this, he perked up within a couple of days. The mix is easy to prepare, and he actually enjoyed the flavor. It’s been a great tool for supportive care, I’ll definitely keep some on hand for future emergencies.

She likes it! Poppy is an outside rabbit with a hutch and a large run, totally predator proof. I worried that she may not be getting enough nutrients from her daily diet. I like the ingredients in the product. She doesn't have any medical issues but I'm giving her this as a preventative and a boost to her immune system. It goes on her food and I haven't seen any reason that she is not eating it. I have only been giving it to her for two weeks so it's hard to tell any effects. I will definitely be using it as a supplement in her diet.

Got this to try for older guinea pig

I decided to give this a try i have a guinea pig getting up there in age and thought maybe this would help for any gaps in her nutrition. I made it 2 to 1 ratio mixed and rolled into balls it made 2 treat balls let it dry out and put in the food dish and shes been munching on it slowly. I dont think its her favorite but she is extremely picky. It does smell minty without being too overwhelming. I will continue to try this for her and even my younger guinea pig.
