i have a question.. is this like recovery food when rabbits get gi stasis, i want to buy some recovery food for my bunny but its EXPENSIVE is this simaler to oxbow critical care? And if yes how much do I feed? thanks!

Smells Better and Finer Powder

I bought this to see if my medical guinea pig would eat this on his own than syringe feed the other brand. I think he knew what it was and didn't care for it. My other piggy thats not sick loved this and would beg me to give him some when he saw me make it. I'd only give him a little pea size to please his craving. The powder is fine and a little goes a long way, I felt. It smells like mint. Overall, I'd buy again to keep in my first aid kit.

Great product!

After my bunny was injured by a dog, we had to syringe feed her. She HATED the first formula our vet recommended. We were then told about this one. She loves it! Feeding went from a horrible chore to fun again. Even though she's out of the woods, she still loves it. I bought through Chewy because the product was not available locally and was hard to find online. For a animal in critical condition (giant C1 fracture and could drop dead with the wrong movement), I was very annoyed that our first order a week to arrive and a time when we needed it NOW. 4 stars because of this.

Sustain Herbivore recovery highlyrecommended

Sustain Herbivore Recovery has been a godsend for our senior bunny Vader, Who has MegaColon. She loves the taste and texture of the treats we make from it and it has definitely improved her digestive health. Cannot recommend this product enough!

Great supplement!

My guinea pig was having some abnormal poos that were not going away, but his weight and appetite were normal. Instead of veggies, once a day I made him a porridge of Lafeber powder and some mammal probiotics. He gets excited for his porridge and cleans the bowl. Within three days his poos were back to normal. My (healthy) tortoise also shows interest in it. This supplement is permanently going into my pets' first aid arsenal.

Sad timing

My elderly (13 yrs) and disabled bunny had been on this for 3x/day feedings for over a year. We always bought it direct from Lafeber, but our last 2 orders took weeks to be fulfilled, so I switched to Chewy. It was the same regular price, but we also got a major discount by scheduling repeat delivery. It arrived 2 days after ordering (excellent!). Unfortunately, bunny passed away that same week, so we never even opened the bag; it’s still sitting in the fridge 7 weeks later and will never be used now.
