We were very excited to try Lafeber Hey!Berries Bell Pepper & Cilantro Rabbit Treats. Our girl loves food, especially treats. We love that it's free of anything

We were very excited to try Lafeber Hey!Berries Bell Pepper & Cilantro Rabbit Treats. Our girl loves food, especially treats. We love that it's free of anything artificial, Veterinarian approved and that the timothy hay is grown on a farm in Northwest US. Our girl has a sweet tooth so she didn't take to it right away. She's never had Bell pepper or Cilantro, which is in these treats. She has grown to like it. She doesn't eat them as fast as her sweeter treats but that's okay. We are happy knowing what she is eating is better for her. I love seeing her have more fiber in her diet now that she's eating these.

OK, I received the product a couple of days ago, so I decided to open it and give it a try. Just to see if my rabbit would like them upon opening the bag there is a strong smell. It has a very strong very earthy smell. You can definitely smell the peppers and the cilantro. I think that’s kind of what put my rabbit off from eating them. So this is why I say they are not good for people with pet rabbits butI also have a hamster and he loves them. I figured I would give him one just to try, but now he comes to the side of the cage and wants one every night. So, would I recommend this to someone who has a rabbit no, but for somebody who has a hamster most definitely.

Maybe someone else will have better luck with these, but my bunny didn't care to try them. To be honest, she has never turned down a treat before.

I was excited to try this product which has natural ingredients. My rabbits love cilantro, they are not used to bell pepper. When the product came, I opened it up and was surprised by the very strong scent. The texture was good that it breaks into pieces if you want to give a smaller portion. Unfortunately none of my rabbits were excited about the treat, they are a bit picky with new things! If the scent could be less strong and be more inviting it would be a treat I would consider purchasing in the future.

The mix of hay and bell pepper keeps them both happy and busy, healthy ingredients that make me feel good about giving them a special snack. I can always tell it’s a favorite because they come running as soon as they hear the bag. I've always liked Lafeber products for my birds and am so happy they have items for bunnies! My little guy is a treat hound for regular bunny treats, but goes absolutely nuts for these! The texture is pleasing and they smell very good! Sprout is only 3 lbs so I limit him to one cluster a day since he gets free choice hay and complete pellets.

Treats look like soft granola. It is made with Timothy Hay along with bell peppers and cilantro. Pea protein is the high on the ingredients list which may not be the best for a rabbit's gut. The treat should be given sparingly. My bunnies ate it but prefer the simpler ingredients and crunch of rabbit biscuits.
