What is the weight capacity that the leash can hold? Meaning dog weight

The 16 inch seatbelt holds dogs up to 20 pounds, the 21 inch holds dogs 20-40 pounds, the 26 inch holds large dogs 40-60 pounds, the 31 inch holds dogs 60+ pounds, and the 36 inch holds dogs 80+ pounds.

Why can't we hook to the dog's collar

This restraint is intended only to be used with a car safety harness. Attaching this restraint directly to your dogs collar may cause injury. If an accident were to occur while your dog has this attached to their collar, it's possible for the restraint to injure and choke your pet.

I don't think the latch bar is accessible from the cargo section of my SUV. Can these be attached safely to the car seat tether anchors instead?

It's recommended to attach this restraint to the latch bar in your car. These are the anchors used for child safety seats.

Does the latch that attaches to the harness swivel for no tangle like other models? I will have two dogs in the car

Sturdy for chewers

My pup loves to ride on my lap (and can chew through most things) so after he chewed through a classic leash-style seatbelt I went looking for a sturdier option

My pup loves to ride on my lap (and can chew through most things) so after he chewed through a classic leash-style seatbelt I went looking for a sturdier option to keep us both safe. I like that it has both the seatbelt style clip and a place to lock it onto carseat anchors. I buckle this in, clip it to my pup's harness and he's content and safe for the car ride.

Definitely heavy duty

My puppy is learning how to behave in a car, and at 60 lbs. and growing, she can pull pretty hard when she wants to. She's jumped over the seat once and out of

My puppy is learning how to behave in a car, and at 60 lbs. and growing, she can pull pretty hard when she wants to. She's jumped over the seat once and out of the hatchback once when parked and hung by it both times, so it's definitely strong, but fortunately, I had her clipped into a body harness both times and was immediately able to get her out of her sticky situation. Just make sure to never clip this to a collar around their necks, and this should serve you in good stead for a long time to come.

Sturdy and convenient

This leash is sturdy and convenient but I am bummed about one thing, I thought it just had the locking carabiner and the clip but no seat belt buckle. Unfortunately

This leash is sturdy and convenient but I am bummed about one thing, I thought it just had the locking carabiner and the clip but no seat belt buckle. Unfortunately I don’t think I can use this unless I figure out how to cut that off because what I want to attach it to is next to the back glass of the pick up and when my dog shakes or gets excited the belt part flips up into the glass and I’m afraid it will damage it.
