Be careful with these bones. Our Goldens were happily munching on the bones. We checked them and saw that they broke the ends off of the bones, but there were no splinters, and they were filled with marrow. We thought, great, they can work on getting the marrow out of the middle of them and it'll keep them occupied. Then we hear the snap. Multiple snaps. At first, we thought it was just them breaking small pieces from the ends, which is normally what they do. Unfortunately, when we check them just a minute or two later, we see that the bones have broken and splintered and have pieces missing. Our dogs have swallowed splintered pieces of the bones and we're now watching them to ensure there are no problems with passing these pieces. The dogs range in age from 5 years to 5 months and they all were able to break the bones. Please be careful when giving these to your dogs!

Very dangerous, within minutes of our German Shepherd and Irish Doodle chewing on these, we noticed that they splintered immediately with very sharp edges. We immediately threw what was left of them away. I’m surprised Chewy sells these considering how dangerous they can be for large dogs. The description online says safe for all breeds and sizes, clearly not safe

I got it for my Westie. This bone was intended for large dogs but my little baby devoured it with in two days. I had high hopes for this and wanted something that would keep her busy while I study but this was gone by day two. I still give it 5 stars because she loved it if she didn't let go until it was gone lol

It smelled good to me, but Cooper wasn't too thrilled with it. He chewed on it and carried it around, but it splintered in two pieces and we were worried that he would ingest some of the splinters. So out with that bone.

The packaging.

The package was torn and the bone just crumbled into pieces when I opened it. He did like the flavor of the big bone. I threw away the other two I bought.

This bone unfortunately went too quick for Zeus and it ssplintered. I gave him this bone and it took him I would say about less than 4 minutes to break length ways and then to make it pretty much disappear in under 10 minutes. I was picking up small pieces of bones, and one of the splinters ended up in my foot which was very painful. So, I dont think I will buy this again b/c if Zeus can destroy this bone that quickly and if it splinters like that, I would be afraid it could end up causing him harm or if the splinters are in the carpets I could step on the again or the cats could get hurt. Zeus loves his bones, but I can find a bone that he wont destroy within minutes other than those rubbery ones or whatever material they are.

Long lasting to a fault

After a while of the dogs chewing on these, they accumulated dangerous slivers of bone, enough to cause their bodies damage. I recommend taking them away before

All broken up

These were all in pieces when they came in. I had to give them a piece at a time. Will never order these again.

Looks

All of them absolutely loved it, but it splintered terribly. And extremely sharp pieces.

Happy Dog devours this bone!

Pork bone splintered early & needed to be trashed - too soft for safety - multiple shards ingested.
