Manufacturing Defect

We purchased this one because the one we already have has been broken since we opened the box. Ironically, took this one out of the box, and voila, same problem

We purchased this one because the one we already have has been broken since we opened the box. Ironically, took this one out of the box, and voila, same problem. The tab that holds the top on, immediately broke when I opened the top. Its really disappointing. You can see even the back is malformed where the tab would be. Requesting a refund.

I wish I had thought to get this years ago! It’s so clean and easy to use. I used a trash can with a lid and bugs kept coming around. My daughter has an older model

I wish I had thought to get this years ago! It’s so clean and easy to use. I used a trash can with a lid and bugs kept coming around. My daughter has an older model so I thought it’s about time I move up my game and I am so glad I did. Easy to use but I had a difficult time trying to open the area where the trash bag is but figured it out and now it’s a snap!! Thank you!

This litter genie is great for my two cats. They use the litter pan A LOT but it has been great at controlling the smell and the bag is strong and lasts a surprisingly long time before having to change it. It is much more sanitary than dumping it into a trash bag/can because it seals off after every scooping.

Brilliant

This has changed my life. I used to just scoop the poop, put it in a plastic grocery sack, and toss it in my kitchen garbage. My kitchen/house would smell awful

This has changed my life. I used to just scoop the poop, put it in a plastic grocery sack, and toss it in my kitchen garbage. My kitchen/house would smell awful until I took out the trash. (I don't take out the trash every day) Now, I just drop the poop in here, and take it out weekly! (I have two cats) If I wait two weeks, there's too much inside and I struggle to get it out of the container. I wish the genie was just a little bit wider, and the poop drop off space just a little bit deeper, but otherwise, fantastic! No more smelly smells.

The thought of no smell

I live in an apartment and wow is this nice when I can't take the trash out daily. I'd suggest this to everyone. You can even use one in the kitchen for stinky foods

Can't remember how we used to store the used litter before getting this. We have had two of these for years, but one finally wore out. Still use the other, smaller

Can't remember how we used to store the used litter before getting this. We have had two of these for years, but one finally wore out. Still use the other, smaller one, but this bigger one is great! Keeps the smell to a minimum. Super easy to use, just lift out the bag when it's full, tie it up and bring to the trash.

Since my cat needs the litter box cleaned to use it, I have to clean his box very regularly. Usually this means that I'll spend a lot of money on little litter bags, especially since I splurge to get the good scent-controlled plastic baggies. But with the Litter Genie my life is so much simpler. I don't need to waste much plastic, AND the scent control is excellent!

I expected so much more

I had the original Litter Genie and was hoping to get a bigger size. Received the Litter Genie XL and was delighted that the size would work for my growing feline

I had the original Litter Genie and was hoping to get a bigger size. Received the Litter Genie XL and was delighted that the size would work for my growing feline family. However, despite the bigger size, the plastic is very flimsy. And when you open up the slide tray to empty contents into the bag, the Genie will quickly open up other parts of the contraption. (The slide tray locks the upper lid in place, but this is not helpful when you are trying to clean multiple boxes that are near each other). Also, it is frustratingly hard to open up the lower part to remove the full bags. I have had the plastic bin slice open a full bag of used cat litter all over my carpet in my attempts to remove it from the Genie. I, sadly, felt like I bought knowledge with this purchase. I am so frustrated with it, that I feel like throwing it in the bin and going back to using plastic bags for waste. Buy the original litter genie, not this monstrosity.

Easier than using plastic bags

I have 4 litter genies..I prefer the xl. I was using grocery store plastic bags. Very annoying as bag handles keep getting in the way. Also a lot more plastic waste
