Questions & Answers

3 Customer Questions

Does this fill from the top where the handle is or from the bottom that snaps into the base?
Answer by ChewyJul 28, 2021
This does fill from the top, just make sure you put the little black cap on the water exit while filling. After you fill the container, make sure the lid is tight before you remove the little black cap.

Can this be used on a water heater base during the winter? And also, when the jug snaps into the base, will it snap back off for cleaning?
Answer by ChewyAug 10, 2021
It is not recommended using a plastic waterer with a heater base. The jug can be removed to be cleaned.

Does that little cap allow airflow?
Answer by ChewyDec 21, 2022
The cap on this fount creates an air flow and a vacuum.

Leaks horrible

1 st and 2nd fill worked great and then it leaked and water ran out quick. The plug broke from the chickens pecking it. Can't find a replacement so water runs right out. Wish I could return it

Waste of $

Doesn’t hold water. Will flow out as quickly as the spout will allow it! MAYBE if you keep the cap screwed mostly on, but I’ve had it almost a year and it’s the worst poultry drinker I’ve ever used.

Best Waterer

I love this waterer. A lot of these can have tops that are really hard to remove. Thanks to the shape of the container, there are actually edges to grab onto. It also works well on my water heater. I've bought two more of these, because I like it so much.

5 gallon waterer

I will never buy this again. I am so disappointed in this product doesn't hold water. It's totally trash. It was so sad. Fill it up next within an hour drain back out. So upset.

very convienent

I love that this waterer fills from the top. It is much easier to use. No water overflow by having to flip it over as required by other units. Works great on my heated base. No freezing of the water

Poultry Fountain

This has been an excellent waterer. I have had no problems at all so far. I put it up on two stepping stones to get it off the ground and the water stays clean.

Overflows continuously

I followed directions but could not get this to hold water. It continuously overflows. I am hoping to return it.

Works Well

I was worried about buying this based on other reviews, but took the chance and I am glad I did. The small black cap is a small white cap that is a bit hard to locate at first. Otherwise it works well, all 10 of my chickens were happy with it. I would recommend it.

Chicken waterer

Unit leaks and does not hold pressure. We have tightened the lid with no results. When on use the water drains out of the tank
