For parakeets you will need extra small (not medium)

How safe is concrete for birds to peck on and possibly ingest.
Answer by Courtney • Jan 27, 2022
I would not leave any perch in with your bird if it is actually eating/consuming it

can I purchase a Living World pedi perch size medium in the color green?
Answer by Susan • Nov 03, 2021
Yes. Unfortunately, I ordered blue and received green, so it does come in that color.

What is the best size for a parrotlet?
Answer by Chewy • Apr 30, 2018
The X-Small and Small are suitable for Cockatiels and Lovebirds. The Medium is suitable for Conures and Caiques. The Large is suitable for Small Cockatoos, Amazons, and African Greys. The X-Large is suitable for Large Cockatoos and Macaws. Please note, your bird's feet should wrap â…” around the perch and should not meet or overlap.

Painted washers chipping

It took quite a while for my bird to warm up to this perch but once he did he kept chewing on the washers that hold it to the cage which he doesn’t do with any other perch he has. Well, the washers and wing nut on this perch are painted for some reason and as he was chewing it the paint started chipping off. Not safe! I obviously removed it and would not recommend these. I wish all parrot products were actually made parrot safe. It would make shopping so much easier.

As advertised

The largest one I got is sturdy and as advertised. You'll need a thick gauge cage to hold it up.

My Happy Gray, Grady

Grady is a 32 yr. old African Grey Congo. He dearly loves his new pedi-perch cement bird perch!! That's the one he sleeps on each night.

Pedi-perch

Romeo has not done anything with it except help me put it in the cage. Maybe he will rub his beak on it someday.

not my favorite perch

I can no longer find the perches that work the best for my bird, and this one does not seem to help much with the talons.
