Manna Pro Harvest Delight Chicken Treat is absolutely the preferred treat with Farmer Gregg's chickens. the Ladies (5yrs) and youngsters alike. Even better, Mrs. Farmer Gregg likes to feed them these treats not only for the chook antics, but because it smells good to her as well. She usually dispenses bug treats from the bag, but the seeds, grains, nuts and fruit (raisins!) are dry, not dusty, and fun to palm feed. The bag came in filled to the 2.5-pound weight with some dust and crumbs at the bottom (to be expected) but not much. I have to admit that it does smell pretty good and feels fresh as well. If you look at the back, there are MANY ingredients, and some may look scary, but really, they are the same ones in most commercial feeds. I looked up a few of the chemically ones for what they are and what they do for chickens. There is not anything in there for filler, and only a few to ensure freshness. I am impressed that the first SIX LINES are foods, and quite the variety - dried tomatoes, carrots, popcorn!, flaxseed, oregano, etc. Vitamins and calcium as well. All around a wonderful treat that is going to be hard to top. I 5 stars recommend Harvest Delight Chicken Treat and will continue to buy it.

The most loved treat in our coop

My girls are telling me that this is the best treat on the planet. When we are opening the practical zip lock bag everyone comes running to find some special treats. I'm surprised, usually they prefer crumble over pellets and this variety consists exclusively of big pieces like peanuts, millet, sunflower kernels, raisins, popcorn, dried vegetables, oatmeal and whole seeds. However this seems to be the new version of chicken chocolate and I haven't seen them gobble up their scratch this fast in a while. I love that there isn't any powder that gets lost on the ground. The mix seems to be made of very healthy, natural ingredients and additives like Thyme, Oregano and vitamins. My only suggestion would be to drop the Natural and Artificial Flavors or be more specific of what they are. I can recommend the Manna Pro Harvest Delight Chicken Treat and we're going to put it on our food rotation for sure.

I gave this to my flock of chickens for the first time this week during a snow storm. They didn’t want to come out of the coop so I gave it to them for something to do and a little treat. They loved it and the quality is great, . I love that it has dried veggies in it, nuts, raisins, and seeds. Good healthy variety for a fun snack. The bag itself is not very big but it is full and it’s a fair price for the product. I also love that the bag has a ziploc closure at the top to keep it fresh and sealed. The only downside I would say is that some of the seeds are tiny which may get lost or wasted depending on where you feed it. I put it in a big flat feed pan with some greens and it was a real hit.

I immediately had everyone's attention once they started eating it! You could either add this to scratch you already have or supplement this on its own. Either way, your hens will thank you!
