The Marineland Eclipse Rite-Size Z Filter Cartridge mechanically filters water through a pad of double thick poly-fiber, trapping debris and waste particles before the water is chemically filtered through Black Diamond Premium Activated Carbon. This pre-assembled cartridge is made with a patented ribbed backing to ensure even distribution of activated carbon and maximum water-to-carbon contact for crystal clear and clean water. The Eclipse Rite-Size Z Filter Cartridge slides easily into place, providing superior mechanical and chemical filtration and making replacement fast, dry and effortless.

Thoroughly rinse cartridge(s) under cold water to remove any dust.
Shake cartridge(s) horizontally (blue side up), to evenly distribute carbon over ribbed back. Be sure each cartridge is securely in place.
For optimum power filter performance replace filter cartridge every 2 - 4 weeks.

Easy to use

I got a beta fish for my granddaughter. What I was thinking I will never know... but I had to get a new tank due to my hard water. This one had an actual filtration system right in the tank which was new to me. I was struggling with keeping the water clean in my other. These filters are very easy to change compared to my last tank so I am very happy with them. Tank looks great and fish appears to be happy ???

I received my marineland eclipse rite-size Z filter cartridges a couple of days after ordering. I was happy to find them as they were not in stock at my local supplier. Chewy is the best for availability, timely delivery and customer service. I have fish, parrots, cats, dogs and chickens. Chewy has them all covered! Thanks Chewy!!

The two filters I used so far produced fresh clean water for my aquarium and lasted a month as expected. The filters themselves are filled with carbon which other stores lacked. I would buy more from Chewy in the future.
