Are the bags renewable once the carbon is used up? Is there a tie on the bag where you can refill the bag with fresh carbon?

They cannot be refilled once the carbon is finished. They need to be replaced every three to four weeks.
can these be used to filter water in a cat fountain?

This filter media is intended with the Marineland filters only. It is not intended for use in pet fountains.
Will these bags work as air fresheners? I need a cost-effective solution for my litter box closet. I've used those cloth covered bags in the past, but replacing them gets expensive. Thanks in advance!
