The bristles are long enough to brush my puppy's undercoat. However, they also end abruptly, so I have to be careful about how much pressure I apply during brushings. I really like the self-cleaning feature.

seems well made with a comfortable handle ... does not put too much stress on my arthritic hands and wrist. self cleaning button works well . wish it had a softer backing but that would probably negate ability of being self cleaning tool. I have several Master grooming tools and so far very satisfied .
