It takes hours to prep this mush, and then the turtle didn't want to even taste it. So I quickly thawed a raw frozen shrimp and cut it into bite size pieces. He loved that! But there is a danger to allowing any animal to eat exclusively one type of food; If you can't obtain the good stuff your turtle won't thrive. They might just wither away.

This gel was recommended to me by a vet, as a good source of Vitamin A for my turtle. It was a little messy to make, but it's a very convenient and nutritious meal that my turtle loves. One bag feed your turtle for months if you freeze it after making it.

Bought this and made according to directions. My turtle refused to eat it and it just messed up my water filter. Was hoping this would be good healthy food but a waste of money for me. He only wants to eat meat and shrimp, no veggies.
