Aquatic Turtle Gel can be fed in combination with dry pellets, vegetables, and animal proteins such as insects and freeze-dried shrimp, and can make up as much as 50% of your reptiles intake. Live insects and meat should be appropriately supplemented to balance the nutrition for your reptile. Produce should consist primarily of leafy greens, with limited fruit and high sugar vegetables to minimize sugar consumption which can cause GI tract disturbances. Thoroughly wash feed and/or water bowls on a regular basis.
