Feed free choice to guinea pigs, along with plenty of fresh clean water. Supplemental food items may be provided but should not make up more than 20% of the total diet. Care should be taken to choose appropriate supplemental food items. Mature guinea pigs may benefit from higher fiber, lower protein food items (e.g., grass hay), while growing, gestating, or lactating guinea pigs may benefit from higher protein food items (e.g., alfalfa hay). Guinea pigs may be provided vegetables (predominantly dark leafy greens) and limited fruit (less than 5% of total intake) to provide enrichment.
Thoroughly wash feeding and watering bowls on a regular basis. It is always a good practice to wash hands thoroughly after feeding and/or handling pets. This diet is not for human consumption.

Oxbow is trash
By MrJC on Dec 11, 2020
I have a large amount of small animals 1 female chinchilla 2 female guinea pigs I had 2 Male Guinea pigs but 1 died NOT 1 of them like oxbow they would die from starvation before eating oxbow pellets tried all 3 tiers chinchillas cant have garden select even though oxbow makes it for chinchillas sometimes I wonder if oxbow lies about veterinarians because they're a rude an bad company when it comes to animals they sell to humans 1st day trying mazuri it's like I gave them lettuce or bell pepper

Great product
By Judy on Oct 9, 2020
My only complaint is the price. Mazuri foods are awesome but a little pricy at Chewy. The convenience almost makes up for the price difference.

Not a hit for my piggie
By Chrissy on Feb 19, 2020
I was told to get this brand of food for my guinea pig by a certain vet (whom I do not use anymore.) My piggie definitely did not like it. My new vet I now go to said most piggies either like Mazuri or they don't and mine definitely doesn't.

Guinea pigs love it!
By court on Mar 12, 2020
I switched my guinea pigs from oxbow so I would only have to buy one kind of food instead of adult and youth food, and some of mine are picky. But they all love it!

Awesome Food!

My herd love these pellets! The 25lb option is so much more economical and I’m so thankful Chewy has the option for it!

Great food
By parislover1819 on Nov 3, 2019
My pets love it, some lady who was helping me with the food & other things that we needed for our Guinea pigs told me to buy this for them & I did, they both loved it... One is very picky and the other one isn't, I've tried other food and they were okay with it. But I highly recommend this one more.

My piggies love this stuff (but really they love all food) so it's hard to judge. But overall I'm pleased!
