I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. This bird food promises to be waste free and contains nuts and fruits. It is supposed to attract grosbeaks, finches and chickadees and works with all kinds of different feeders. I can confirm that this bird food worked very well with my self-built feeder. I love watching birds from my office. It gives me a lot of joy when I see birds enjoying the food and water I provide. So I was quite excited when I was chosen to try this bird food. Unfortunately the first interessent was a squirrel that got a scent of the nuts included in this food and he wanted a share. I feel that if you have a lot of squirrels in your backyard this bird food might not be the right one for you. That said, after I was able to ensure the bird food was safe and the squirrel gave up my favorite birds, the Blue Jays came to check it out. I had a couple other interests like finches and doves that enjoyed the food as well. It seemed that the Blue Rays were especially excited about the raisins. I can not really judge if this bird food is waste free due to the birds being quite messy by being picky eaters but the doves take care of a lot that falls down so almost everything gets eaten.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Well honestly, as soon as I poured some into my bird feeder and hung it up, I noticed some friendly visitors enjoying the treat. It was lovely to be able to watch birds out my kitchen window again. I have seen many breeds of birds taste testing from my feeder as of late. I highly recommend this food if you'd like to welcome feathered friends to your yard.
Melody Select Waste Free Nut & Fruit Bird Food 5 lb bag. Live in Virginia and my birds couldn’t eat it fast enough. My feeder is fairly large and I usually only have to refill every couple days. With this food, they were eating faster because they loved it. Birds attracted: Cardinals, Blue Jays, Tufted Titmouse, Mourning Dove, Chickadee, Sparrow, American Goldfinch, Grackles. Even saw a Red Headed Woodpecker! The various seeds/grains included really attracted more of a variety of different species than our usual blend. I don’t think the birds knew what to do with the fruits (raisins & papaya). What little fell to the deck was cleaned up by the squirrels. They absolutely loved sharing whatever was dropped by the birds, so it was a win-win situation. I didn’t see much if any waste from spent shells, so I’d agree this is waste free. Overall a really high quality bird food that will end up feeding all of your backyard animal friends! I was gifted this product for free from Bzz Agent in exchange for my honest opinion and feedback.
I've been feeding birds for years, but have never used this type of feed with such a variety. I also typically only feed birds in the winter when it's much more difficult for them to find food. However, this food has been well received! It has attracted Cardinals, Titmouse, Nuthatch, Goldfinch, Grosbeak, and more. I've been very happy with it! I want to try it during the winter to see what other kinds of birds show up in that season as well! I did receive this product as a free promotional sample in exchange for an honest review.
This bird food is "mess free" which is because all of the food can be eaten, and there is not any shells from the seeds. The feed includes a variety of seeds, raisins, and papaya, so there is something for most species of birds. I have a smaller bird feeder to keep the black birds, and robins from eating all the food. I have attracted finches, sparrows, and doves to the feeder. I would recommend this seed to anyone looking to attract a variety of birds to their yard. I received this product in exchange for leaving a review.
This bird food was sent to me for a honest review. I have a few bird feeders throughout my back yard as I love bird watching. I never thought that there is much difference in feed when it came to quality. After I replaced my feeders with this melody select I discovered pretty quickly that I was wrong. I had more birds visiting my feeders over the week since replacing the feed. I found I had to replace the feed much more frequently as well with not much wasted on the ground below. I will be using this feed moving forward so that I can continue seeing many more birds during my daily morning coffee.
I got a free sample of this to review. I'm not a bird expert, but my dog and I like to watch the birds and this feed seems to attract them. It's bird food. so what can I say? Birds seem to like it. Not having to deal with the empty seed shells at the end of the day is a plus, though you still have to hose down some fallen seeds and bird poop. I'd buy this again and recommend since it does seem to attract some of the bigger birds.
I live in a rural area and have lots of nature around. I like to putting out food for wild birds. I received this bag of bird food for free in exchange for an honest review. Birds loved it, squirrels did too!! Some of the birds I saw in the little bits of time I was home were cardinals, blue birds and crows. There there other birds that I just don’t really know their names. And of course I har a hard time keeping the pesky squirrels away. Overall, a great product. Great value for the price. Will more than likely buy this product and find a way to keep the food away from squirrels.
I tried this 5-pound bag of Melody Select Waste Free Nut & Fruit Bird Food and boy am I glad I did! I was looking for something to fill my bird feeders that did not leave shells and waste behind. This was it!! The birds loved it! They came down immediately after I filled it and continued to feed until it was empty. I liked this product very much and will continue to use it. Highly recommend!
When I opened this bird food, my first thought was that I’d just keep it for myself! It looks delicious! It’s easily the highest quality bird food I’ve ever seen. The birds agreed! I set it out on the fence where I usually put out bird food, and they loved it. I’ll see if I can add photos later, but you see the other reviews: it’s good stuff
