This is a no mess bird seed, I just want to be sure that the seeds that fall to the ground will not sprout weeds/grass.

Is the food small enough for painted buntings to eat as well as the finches?

Answer by ChewyJun 05, 2019
This bird food includes sunflower kernels, peanuts, pistachios and hulled pumpkin seeds, which are suitable for painted buntings and finches.

Is there a bird seed that cardinals like but blue jays don't? The blue jays in my yard are bullies.

Answer by ChewyJun 12, 2020
The Wild Delight Cardinal Wild Bird Food or the Wild Delight Safflower Wild Bird Food are great alternative options for cardinals, but aren't intended for blue jays.

Will this seed be appropriate for my two white doves? They hate the peas in the other food I have seen/tried.

Answer by ChewyJul 24, 2019
This seed blend is recommended for outdoor birds.

I've been buying the Wild Delight Deck, Porch for since before Covid. Per photo, the upper mix is from an older bag, while the lower half is from my latest chewy order in Jun 2025 (two 20lb bags).First there were now a lot of red skinned peanuts which are a new addition, but more importantly the of 'whole' kernel sunflower seeds had been replaced by sunflower chips - I'd say the chips now make up 85% of the sunflower seeds. Considering how the prices keep rising, I'm disappointed that the quality of seed mix is going down. I use it in my Brome Squirrel Buster Classic feeder, and I also scatter some on the back deck for the larger birds whose body weight prevents them from using the Brome. Peanuts have always been a problem w/ the Brome, but the addition of these new types of red peanuts clog up the 4 food ports even faster. I hv gold and ruby finch, sparrows and many other small and medium sized birds and they like the mix...but having to unclog the ports (i use an old crab fork) more frequently is a pain.

I watch birds for Cornell University and have 6 feeders. I use this along with Sunflower Seeds in one feeder to cut the costs and I attract all kinds of birds from various finches to cardinals, chickadees, bluebirds, titmice and even woodpeckers. I live in the woods so get a large variety of birds. I don't have as many shells falling only the ones from the Sunflower Seeds that I add, which is a plus. Good product per my birdies. They eat it up.

An increase of $8 is way too much for my Social Security check. All my birds, squirrels, and rabbits love this food and I enjoy watching them. Makes retirement happy. But I have to change buying this brand. Sorry to disappoint all my little creatures, but I just can’t afford this new increase.
