Nope. Not a fan.
By Nope on Feb 24, 2021
Our Newfie pup HATED this food. Bummer because the ingredients were better than her previous Hill’s food. She refused to eat it even with boiled chicken, chicken treats, and/or chicken broth. HATED it. She starved herself for two meals just so she didn’t have to eat this food. She only ate it if we hand fed her the other meals. We ended up switching to The Honest Kitchen Chicken Recipe Clusters and she is a HUGE fan. The kibble on Merricks is too small like cat food pellets and doesn’t smell the best. Would not recommend.

Good quality
By JacBod on Feb 19, 2021
The breeder uses this, so I got it for my puppy. My Vet told me this morning that grain free dog food has been linked to heart issues in dogs, per the FDA. Because Merrick is a good quality, I will switch to food with grains.

Not a hit at all
By Hallies on Jan 8, 2021
I thought this would be a good choice. My dog has a series of allergies and this seemed to match. The food kibble is literally the size of cat food. My 65 pound puppy golden doodle hates it. Day two and she’s refusing to touch the kibble. On to the next.

Purchased this dog food because it was recommended for tear stains in white dogs. I'm slowly transitioning my puppies over. It had high reviews, so im hoping for good results

Not the right food for our coonhound puppy
By Razz on Sep 30, 2020
She perpetually had itchy skin and a film on your hands after petting her. Her stool was high volume and always on the very soft end of the spectrum. We fed her this from 8 weeks old until 5 months old. Her itching, skin, and stool never changed during all that time so we switched away from this food. I'm sure it's good for others but not our girl. We are 3 weeks into a different food and her itching, skin, and coat have significantly improved.

My puppy loves this stuff, only con is the price
By Lucinda on Jul 29, 2020
I didn't buy this product from chewy (but will soon since she's running low), but I did buy this in a store since I needed a brand that I could transition my new puppy into feeding regularly. When I saw all the ingredients, it seemed pretty good, so I went and bought it. To be very clear, I really do love this brand for my new fur baby. She loves this more than her original food the previous owners gave me! But the price point can be alittle daunting once you go past the 10lb bag where a 22lb bag is 60 bucks when alot of other brands can be significantly cheaper. So, depending on what you are looking for in your dog food and the benefits it could provide, you should weigh out if it is worth I didn't buy this product from chewy (but will soon since she's running low), but I did buy this in a store since I needed a brand that I could transition my new puppy into feeding regularly.
