A Good Sample Trial
I received a free sample of Merrick Healthy Grains Kitchen Comforts Beef Tips and Rice Recipe wet dog food for my review. I started out small with this product, putting a little bit on top of my dog's usual dry dog food. He showed no interest in it for quite a while, even left the room. Later he did go back to eat, and he was eating both the dry and canned. I do believe he liked it. The odor is better than other canned dog foods I have smelled. I was surprised when I opened the can at how it looked, nothing quite like the picture on the can label. Was actually pretty gummy getting out of the can. Sometimes new products bother his stomach, but he was able to keep this down. I did run in to a bit of flatulence problem with him the next day though. Unsure if I will purchase any more.

I received a free can for my dogs to try in exchange for my unbiased review. To start, the wet food I purchase for my dogs is almost exclusively Merrick. This one didn't disappoint - I wanted to share with both my big and small dogs. For my small dogs, I usually mash up the food to make sure there aren't big chunks they could choke on. This was easy to mash up, which I like, and all the dogs from the fussy little ones to the fussy big ones all really seemed to enjoy it. 2 thumbs up! Delicious
Upon initial inspection of the can, it feels like you can actually tell this was made with care. Once I opened the can it look good enough for me to eat. My Keeshond was delighted in eating this and finished it in record time. He even came up to me and back to his bowl to look for more. Best canned dog food in my dogs opinion
I have a 15 year old dachshund mix. He has very little teeth left, but he is picky with most wet foods. There is several brands he will not eat. So he resorts to eating my Bullmastiffs dry food (even though he struggles). When we received this sample, we gave it to him that evening. This is the first wet food I have seen him devour. He loved it. Well made with wholesome ingredients as well. Can’t go wrong.
My pup loves it
My pup Kosmo is a picky eater, so I know Merrick Healthy Grains Kitchen Comforts is as delicious as it looks and sounds. Kosmo inhaled every morsel! To slow him down, I tried adding some of the Merrick to his usual dry food, and he inhaled that too. I love the healthiness and safety of the ingredients and the fresh look of the food. Kosmo loves the taste, the smell, everything about it. I will not hesitate to purchase Merrick Healthy Grains Kitchen Comforts for my precious pup! We're both so happy with Merrick! Both dogs liked it
I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. My dogs can be kind of picky and they both liked this canned dog food. I thought it smelled fairly appetizing. It has a chunky consistency, which makes it seem like you are getting a good amount of food in the can. Like others have mentioned, the actual food doesn't look like the photo on the can. I would prefer to be able to distinguish the different ingredients. Merrick is one of the few dog food brands I trust to feed to my dogs.
My dogs love this food
I have 2 labs, one is very picky about eating veggies and always picks them out. When I gave them this food they both devoured it without leaving even a crumb. Good but not great
It’s not the most visually appealing wet food that Merrick offers but at least it doesn’t have an unpleasant smell. The pups weren’t too sure about it at first but they can be cautious when introduced to new food. My younger pooch took to it pretty quickly and ate with gusto while my senior dog was far more ‘polite’ about it. Overall I think they enjoyed it as a topper for their dry food (especially when I added some of the bone broth) it just wasn’t their favorite Merrick wet food product. Licked the bowl clean!
My dog Maya can be a picky eater. She is the kind of dog who will leave some food in her dish, just because... She is not that food motivated. Got a free sample of the Merrick Kitchen Comforts Beef Tips & Rice Stew. Mixed some up with her kibble and gone gone gone. Licked the bowl clean. Food looks appetizing and has a good consistency - not too soupy or "dry". Very pleased. My only wish would be for Merrick to also offer this product in smaller (5.5 oz) cans in addition to large.
