Door does not swing or lock smoothly

This is the second time we purchased this very crate. The door on this one is difficult to open and close and difficult to lock and unlock. On our first purchase, the door swings freely and the locks are easy to engage. Not certain what is making this one so difficult to operate (manufacturing imprecision or misalignment?) but our dog is not comfortable with the loud clunky process of opening and closing this crate.

crate for car travel

Needed a third crate to fit with 2 other Midwest Life stage crates. the crates are sturdy, easy to put together and take apart and perfect for what I need. Also have 3 larger ones in the house. Best crate ever. Also got the Midwest fleece mat to go with the crate. PERFECT.

The crate is great, I'm not so much.

It's a fantastic crate and spacious for my great dane. However, I needed a side door to be able to use this in my laundry room. Failed to realize it's a single door 🤣

good product delivery process is not good

the product is good for my ducks. i will not buy any other product. the delivery process sucks. they always deliver my feed to the neighbors house or at end of the shared drive way. it is very hard to carry 100 pounds of feed up a hill

Dog Crate for Large Dog

It is a good size but it is not that sturdy and did not go together easily. The pieces are not in alignment, do not fit well and it had to forced together. I am not looking forward to having to take it a part and putting it back together when we travel.

Not just for dogs

I bought this for my cat. She is 4 years old and loves watching the birds and squirrels play outside. She is an indoor cat and I'm afraid to let her out. So, I bought this so she could sit in the yard with me in the warmer weather and I wouldn't have to worry about her. She LOVES it! She lies down and relaxes and she loves the fresh air. So, if you have an indoor cat and you're worried about letting them outside, buy this. You won't regret it.

Exactly as Described

Effective closures. Nice tray that slides in & out easily for cleaning. Love the divider as I have a 3 month old sheepadoodle who will grow! A bit awkward to move due to size.

Great for Puppy

The adjustable center section is perfect. While the puppy is in the growth stage, you are able to adjust it for their size and use effectively to crate train.

MidWest Life Stages Collapsible Wire Dog Crate

This MidWest crate seems sturdier than those I have bought in the past. There are 3 hooks on the end panel: 2 are going in the same direction and the middle hook faces the opposite way. This requires some hand strength. It also took much longer to set up than expected; the front door panel and growth panel were jammed together on the floor of the crate. I had get on the floor and wrestle with it, using one hand to try to separate them-with the other hand holding up the unsecured outer panels. Not much fun for an aging senior working solo.

WAY too hard to collapse!

I purposely selected this crate because I needed one I could collapse to take with me to my daughter's. My hands are sore from even TRYING to collapse it. I saw the You Tube video and I honestly don't know how those folks just unclipped the ends to lay them down. The crate itself is nice, but I'm regretting the purchase and can't even disassemble it to return it!
