I use as an extension to a MidWest Cat Playpen and the Wood and Wire Cat Playpen. I carefully removed the front door and used only the plastic tray in the bottom. Can be secured to these 2 units with bungee cords to give more room for play or a litter pan.
Love these wabbitats!! More than enough room for our rabbits to move around. Love the built in wire bottom which makes cleaning their pullout trays so incredibly easy! I don't even have to take them out to clean them! I do wish the "splashguards" were more universal for each corner because our rabbits urinate in the corners closer to the door, which the guard won't fit there easily. But still 5 starts bc these are the best! And I've tried 2 other hutches and 1 other type of cage.
I have had a few other rabbit cages, this one has been the worst. The clips are kind of flimsy, and not always easy to open. There is not enough space to slide the bottom tray in and out if it has bedding in it. It supposed to make for easy clean up, but if you have bedding in the tray, the bedding all comes off when you slide the tray out. Also the pee guard only goes around one corner, if the bunny pees in other corners, the liquid easily misses the tray and gets on the floor. I would not buy this again for a rabbit. Granted, the cage was not very expensive, so you get what you pay for, or don't get what you don't pay for. I will need to buy another cage.
I purchased this item thinking it had an overly simple set-up description, but to my surprise it was exactly as described. Make three movements and the cage is up and ready. Nice finish, super floor, excellent size. Although Copito does not like to travel, and I hated setting up the "travel cage" we had we were both very happy this time around. Thanks Chewy!!!
For the price, this thing is perfect. Most other cages were like,,,60-80 bucks. Riot loves his new home, and has enough room for all his toys! Super easy setup too.
This cage is exactly what I needed and works as I need it to. A hint, if you use it as a brooder for chicks, get some clear plexiglass and cut it to make a nice solid, but see through, perimeter. It’ll keep out drafts and keep flinging feed in.
I purchased this rabbit cage after reading all the reviews , And Chewy always has great products . But i was disappointed that when I put together that the latches were very loose and had what look to be rust under them. I believe midwest is getting a little cheap how they make thses cages or mine was returned and repackaged to sell
Good product little guy has plenty of room to move around sturdy, well built!
The door of the rabbit cage I ordered cannot be closed tightly, and there are many rusts. I would like to do an exchange, but they just allowed me to do a return, and they just use fedex, the cage is heavy for me to carry. In the end, I did not do the return, I keep the cage, but it really looks like it's used.
These are waaaaaay too small to house a rabbit permanently. Both of my rabbits are outside on my enclosed porch in exercise pens however on the rare occasion it freezes here in North ga (or in summer when it's too hot for them) I got these to temporarily house them inside and keep them safe from my other animals. These house rabbits are usually free roam but we don't let them free roam when we are gone, just in case. I would not recommend for full time use but occasionally absolutely!
