Ingredient Information

Feeding Instructions

Better Eggs, Healthier Chickens

Full of wholesome, US-grown, non-GMO ingredients, Mile Four Organic Chicken Feed brings out richer yolks, sturdier eggshells, and overall egg goodness. It promotes flock health, too, for higher activity levels, vibrant plumage, and stronger bones.

Three Types of Grains

Choose Whole Grain feed for a granola-like texture, perfect for foraging, or opt for Mash feed, finely ground to aid digestion. Pellet feed provides a balanced diet in an easy-to-serve form, reducing waste. All are packed with optimal nutrition.

Chicken Feed for Different Ages

Mile Four makes tailored feeds for all three chicken life phases: Starter for chicks, Grower for pullets, and Layer for egg-producing hens. Experience the vitality that comes from truly wholesome nutrition at every life stage.

Organic Core Ingredients

Elevate your chickens’ nutrition with Mile Four Organic Whole Grain feed, packed with nutrient-rich grains like wheat and barley. Peas in the formula provide protein and energy, while flax meal contributes omega-3s for nutrient-dense eggs.

I have found other feeds with the same nutrition that my hens love more. Found lots of powder in the bag. I'm hoping that it won't be wasteful by mixing with other feed and feeding in a gravity feeder rather than spreading on the ground.

I bought this for my non laying adult chickens. I'm getting near the bottom of the bag now, and I have three cups of dust already that I had to separate from the pellets. It looks like possibly half of what is left is dust. I don't see that Chewy offers any other organic non-layer adult pellets. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere. I think it's good quality, but what do I do with all this dust? This company needs to do something about the ridiculous amount of dust in their product.

I've purchased several times before. Took me a long time to find corn fee GROWER feed in PELLET form!! It usually comes in a non descript white bag. Pellets were the perfect size and my mixed flock of young ones and layers were really happy with this. HOWEVER, this last delivery, the bag was as pictured (fine i dont care what the bag looks like) but now the pellets are very tiny and MOST of the bag is just dust. Useless, no one is going to eat dust and this is WAY too expensive food to get 10 pounds of food and 13 pounds of dust. I got 2 bags and looks like the other is dust too. If this is a new "formula", I'll have to move on. Please go back to the larger pellets

For 2 yrs I have been feeding my chickens (11 hens 7 roos) Scratch and Peck. I have a heart condition and what they eat I eat. The last few bags, for some reason, they would not eat. Then I realized the formula had grit and other things added. I decided I did not want to pay for grit which, by the way, adds to the weight of the bag! I gradually am switching to this MILE FOUR and find my flock is finally enjoying their food again. Grower feed has more protien for larger eggs, harder shells, and bigger production. Best part, the roos can eat too without hurting their kidneys. Layer feed is not good for roosters kidneys! Thank you ALEXIS @ CHEWY for the refund and the MILE FOUR replacement!! WE LUV CHEWY!!!
