I bought these nail clippers because of covid I wasn’t able to take my English bulldog into the vet as often to get her nails trimmed. This is my first time trimming nails and these worked very well. I recommend doing your research on how to clip your dogs nails. If interested in getting nail clippers get these.
Best clippers ever

We have been clipping our fur babies’ nails for many years. One is 50 lbs and the other is 60 lbs. These are by far the best clippers we have ever used. Fast, sharp, thus pain-free. Treats are always important when trimming nails...however these clippers are amazing. Keep in mind, our dogs are medium sized dogs. Don’t know how they would work on large breeds.
Very quick and sturdy when using

We got these for our 55 lb hound after the first clippers I bought broke. These are much sharper and they allow you to quickly snip off the nail ends. Our dog used to hate getting her nails trimmed because the old ones pulled on her nails a little but these don't bother her a bit. Highly recommend them.
Better than other brands.

I've been a professional groomer for 28 years. This is the best nail clipper out there. The large will work on very large breeds but how you use it matters. A quick and forceful clip with momentum will cut the nail. If you try to go slow it will not cut properly with potential to crack or crush a nail on the big thick large breed nails. My only complaint is they don't last as long as they used to. My last pair loosened up and the tips click together now after only 6 months.
They work - but not well...

I got the Safari brand and they are AMAZING! We just moved and I couldn't find the nail cutters and the woofies really needed a trim...so I thought I'd pick up another pair. Wow...very different quality. I just found my Safari trimmers and there is a big difference. I would not recommend these. Not sharp! Feel cheap in the hand.
These are terrible

I bought these after reading the reviews (silly me). The reviews must be bogus because these are awful. I have a 65 lb greyhound and I could barely cut 1 of her nails. These are going straight in the trash. Do not use these they could hurt your pup.
Works well for thick nails

I’ve been looking for a nail trimmer for my large breed dog and was having issues finding something that could cut through his thick nails. This one did the trick and works great!
Feels sturdy and well made.

These are the same ones that my vet uses. My dogs claws are so thick that the cheaper versions wouldn't cut them. After seeing my vet use this brand I bought my own, now my dog's nails are clipped regularly.
Best for larger dogs

These Clippers are very strong and sharp. They work best with larger breeds as the size of the clipper makes it difficult to maneuver around a medium or smaller sized dog "thumb" claw

Terrible quality. The handles are cheap and very light, for a terrible hand feel. The blades do more chopping than slicing, leaving sharp and jagged nails behind. My dog is terrified when I pull these out. I’m going back to the scissor-style that my dog liked better.
