Bought for the probiotic but got other results

    By on

The vet put my dog on a probiotic (Fortiflora) after a bout of pancreatitis but it was too expensive to use on a regular basis. I gave this a try and so glad I did. After using for a month, my other dog with allergies, seems to be reaping the most benefit from the pet kelp formula. The fur on his paws that are usually stained orange from constant licking, have cleared up considerably and the crusty eye goop has also cleared up. No stomach upset and firm stools. They weren't fond of it at first and it does not mix well with their kibble. I have started adding a splash of bone broth to their food to help it mix in and they are taking it and licking their bowls clean. Definitely recommend!

Picky eater had no problem with Missing Link

    By on Top 100 Contributor

Trying to add fiber and probiotics to my best friends diet. He is a very picky eater and has loose stools. He likes the taste and eats it mixed into his normal food. I see some improvement but just started this a week ago. Great ingredients that I feel good about feeding him.

Seems to be helping, one of my dogs has sensitive stomach yet he loves to eat anything and everything he finds, socks , towels was constantly looking for grass to eat outside, since we started this Ive noticed he doesn’t go looking for grass and no more puking, wonderful in my opinion.

    perfect additive

My pup has a sensitive stomach and small changes in diet and activity effect her. This probiotic has changed things. I don’t worry about treats because her stomach no longer gets upset.

    Great for cats too

    By on

When this product was just called “Pet Kelp” I started giving it to a cat who had a history of skin problems: rashes, hair loss, hot spots, etc. We did allergy tests and adjusted her diet, gave her expensive antibiotic injections, treated her for parasites — nothing worked, until she started getting Pet Kelp. It took a couple of months to see total resolution of her condition but it was complete, with no side effects and no recurrence of her issues. This updated formula with pumpkin and probiotics works just as well or better. Her skin is clear and her coat is gorgeous! She gets 1cc of powder mixed with her food at each meal. Our other cat likes it too.

    Healthy Regimen

    By on

My Shih Tzu is prone to cysts so in addition to his healthy diet I decided to add some kelp. I sprinkle a tiny bit to his wet food.

Missing list of microorganisms on the package received.

    By on

The picture of the package on the website includes many microorganisms, which is the reason I chose this product, along with other healthy ingredients. However, the package I got only included Organic Kelp, Flaxseed, Pumpkin, and Lactobacillus Acidophilus fermentation product, leaving out all the other microorganisms that were mentioned on the website picture. I'm wondering if I got a wrong product or if there was a printing error from the manufacturer.

Finicky Pup Eats It But Doesn't Seem To Have Any Effect

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I know my sister had a problem with her dogs not liking this, so I hoped it wouldn't stop my already finicky eater from eating, and it has no effect on that! My pup has a bit of a weird stomach, which is why I think she's a finicky eater, so I was hoping this would aide in digestion, unfortunately I haven't noticed any effect.

Meh, not impressed for or against

    By on

I gave this to both of my dogs, one of my dogs, a 72lb Amstaff with a sensitive tummy refused to eat anything when this was on his food, even when I mixed it with wet food. My 12 week out Cane Corso puppy ate it with no hesitation. I didn’t notice much improvement in my puppy’s bowl movements, they were not very problematic to begin with, but the only difference is her stool had a grayish green color, I assume from the kelp. This texture wasn’t great, it’s just like cracked/ground pepper in texture and appearance. It didn’t stick to their dry food like I was hoping, and just fell to the bottom of their bowls.
