About Modesto Milling

Modesto Milling was established in 1974 as a dairymen’s co-op. In 1997, a group of local dairymen convinced the Board of Directors to start manufacturing organic dairy grain mixes. By January 1998, Modesto Milling gained its organic certification from Oregon Tilth of Salem, Ore. They became the first organic grain processor in Central California, and ever since, Modesto Milling has been manufacturing high quality organic feed for many different types of livestock.

What kind of bag does this come in? Plastic? Paper?

Modesto Milling package organic feed in 25 pound and 50 pound bags are made of three ply paper. No plastic liners are used.

Is this feed Made in the USA? And is it made with USA ingredients?

All of Modesto Milling’s feeds are manufactured in Modesto California. However, some of the ingredients originate outside of the US due to price, availability, and quality such as absence of GMO’s.

Are these Modesto Organic Non GMO pellets rabbit food alfalfa pellets? or some other pellets?

Great fresh green smell. Rabbits love it. Although my rabbits prefer it blended with organic thick rolled oats. At times we have recieved the bags with too much

Great fresh green smell. Rabbits love it. Although my rabbits prefer it blended with organic thick rolled oats. At times we have recieved the bags with too much powdered pellets from shipping & handling. The rabbits will not eat the powder but we can add water to ferment for the chickens & gardens so it is not total waste!

This is one of the very few higher protien rabbit pellets that isnt FULL of soy and / or corn. Thats why I first bought it. The ingredients are great/ and my giant

This is one of the very few higher protien rabbit pellets that isnt FULL of soy and / or corn. Thats why I first bought it. The ingredients are great/ and my giant rabbits all gobble it up. There is settling in the big bags , but my last bag had minimal “dust” . Im a vet tech and a longtime rabbit owner, and I pay close attention to ingredients in all my animal’s diets. This is my go-to rabbit food !

It is a pretty good rabbit food. When you get it...it is a good color. It doesn't smell as good as Oxbow but it is considerably cheaper. I don't like how there is

It tends to fill up the feeders and I have to scrape it out every other day so there is a lot of waste that I am paying for...
