Does this have a smell?

There are no added fragrances in any of the Natural Dog Company products. Since the natural ingredients are 100% pure, they do carry their own aromas. Altering ingredients to remove the scents would result in a product that is no longer natural.

Can cats use this product?

While Natural Dog Company balms are formulated specifically for dogs, success has been seen in treating skin issues with cats also. Wrinkle Balm is the preferred balm, as it is the mildest formula in the product line. We discourage using Skin Soother; it has a higher concentration of essential oils and could cause additional irritation to a cat's sensitive skin.

Will this stain furniture?

Due to these balms consisting of mostly natural butters and essential oils, it is possible that it may transfer to absorbent surfaces. To avoid this, apply lightly, be sure to massage it into the skin, and allow it to dry for a moment before your pup accesses carpeted areas, furniture, or other absorbent materials. You may also consider laying down an old towel, using a t-shirt, or socks to cover the area where the balm was applied. Should there be a transfer of balm to your carpet, furniture, or fabrics, no need to worry. A solution of Dawn dish soap (the regular blue version is the best) and a little water should take the balm right out.

My dog had a terribly cracked nose, the cracks are raw and his nose gets bumpy with build up. I’ve noticed a remarkable healing process, there is only one last spot left that is taking slower to heal. To see this after a few years of pain and a cracked sore nose is nothing short of amazing! Love the product. I do wish the tin had a screw top lid, for some reason it’s difficult to pop the lid off but worth the struggle.

My poor baby girl has been suffering from hot spots "all" over her body. It's been terrible! This year, 2025, is the 1st time I've ever dealt with Hotspots. After researching, trying different shampoos and creams, to see her getting worse, I finally came across Natural Dog Company . I read all the reviews and was about to try something else until I came across 1 review that had a Pitbull that said this was the only thing that helped his gentle baby, I knew I was going to try all the the products! Well, you can see the smile on her face from only 3 treatments. She's finally sleeping, snoring, and all the wonderful attributes that Staffies have. The snout Soother is all natural, really not much smell at all, and she let's me apply it without having to trick her. Natural ingredients are the biggest priority for my girl. I've used the shampoo and the other ointment for her body, and hopefully, you can see the hotspots are healing. Three days! I started with the 2 oz first to see how it would react on my sweet girl, and I was shocked how far 2 ounces go with the Snout Soother. If anyone has been blessed to have a Staffordshire bull terrier or pity, then you probably know that most really doesn't like bath time, lol. Well, she's ready for her bath now. Thank you, Natural Dog Company and Chewy, for putting the smile back on my girls face! I highly recommend all the many products from Natural Dog Company.

Love this balm!

My dog actually looks forward to having this balm, I use it on her feet though as it’s so easy to apply and has similar affect as the paw balm.

Wonderful Balm!
