I had no issues with the product. The smell is a lil weird but it's probably from the turmeric. I use this for my three dogs to rehydrate their food. They all like it. Didn't see any mold/chunks in it. Very affordable.
I have been using this product for over a year now. This last jar must have been a bad batch. It had green balls of powder in the jar. Looked like mold. Tossed the jar.
this smells absolutely inhumane and inedible. i gagged every time i made the “broth” for my kitties. also, none of my cats will eat it. the smell is rancid, my cats think the taste is disgusting, and it doesn’t rehydrate well. please don’t buy it.
Purchased this product as a healthy additive for my 4 cats. Upon opening the canister I did not like the smell. Needless to say the cats would not eat the food with this mixed in it, not even my cat that eats anything. Maybe it's the turmeric as they consume another cat food with chunks of bone broth and I place flaxseed oil in their wet food. The stray cat threw up immediately after consuming a small amount.
My pup drinks it with no issue but the smell is horrible!
I have 3 pix mixes who liked to eat relatively fast. I started to add this bone broth to their diets and it has helped with slowing them down. One of them is also a picky eater and this has helped by giving her everyday dry food a boost in flavor and she has never been more excited for breakfast and dinner. Great product if you are looking to add something extra to your pets food.
My dog absolutely loves this broth. I mix a small amount in a jar and keep in refrigerator. When I feed her her regular dog food I shake up the jar and pour some on her dry food. I usually nuke it for about 15 seconds to take chill off. She laps up every bit I give her. It is wonderful to find something so very healthy for her.
I was already giving my cats a bone broth, prior to buying this one. My usual product was sold out though, and I needed more for my senior kitty. She just needs a little extra help with hydration. I was a little worried the extra stuff they put in this would cause her to reject it, but she ate her food without hesitation! The two year old approves too, but he’s not picky. I usually mix 1 cup, and give them each 2 tbsp daily, mixed in to their canned food. The cup will last 1 week in the refrigerator. I will most likely continue to use this one, because it costs the same as the old one with double the product. The fish oil and pumpkin are an added bonus, although I’m not too sure about the tumeric. A word of warning, the pumpkin does settle if you leave the broth sitting, like I do. Just something to be aware of, incase that’s something anyone might have an issue with. Otherwise, it mixes really well and smells ok. I would recommend this to anyone looking to add some extra hydration and nutrition to their pet’s diet!
This is my new favorite product for my pets. Instead of having to stock many containers of liquid broth, this broth powder fills the bill. One tablespoon to a cup of water is enough to make a yummy pour-over broth. My dogs love it.
I bought this product for several reasons. It has health benefits, great price, can be used wet or dry. It's not technically a gravy. I served it mixed with water and my dogs liked it. Now I simply sprinkle it dry on their kibble. I feed fresh and dry and they would leave kibble. Not with this. They eat it up.
