With some trouble shooting, good product
My cats eats this with their wet food. I was afraid that my cats wouldn't like the tumeric in the broth but I decided to give it a try because I wanted to increase their water intake at meal time ( One cat enjoys playing in the water bowls and the other doesn't like to drink the dirty water after the play session) Plus the benefits of tumeric and pumpkin for their diets. My method is to first add a little bit of boiling water to the very fine powder and mush the powder into the water with a spoon against the cup. This allows me to remove clumps and to make a paste. Then I gradually add more hot water to make a broth. There is sentiment at the bottom of the broth when left alone for a bit. But I don't mind because I mix the broth with their wet food. Cats won't eat the broth alone unless there is additional fish oil or freeze dry meal toppers with it. There will not be a true smooth blend because of the hydrophobic fish oil in the powder. Unless you actually cook it on the stove top. Which I might try just to see how it turns out. The tumeric has begun to stain one of their plastic bowls. But I don't mind since the bowl is a soft pink and so not entirely noticable from afar.
Mix well before using
My dogs love this stuff. But my last container of it had something in it. At first I thought it was rocks. It's actually big clumps of mold. I really hope this is a one time issue so just be careful.
yucky!!! beware!!!
First time buying. Won’t buy again! Dogs won’t eat!!! Has big chunks in it that stinks!!! Like rotten chunks!!! It’s a waiste of time/money people!!! I threw it out!!
To Pungent of Tumeric!
I have a megaesophagus dog and use a lot of liquids and broth. I thought this would be a good solution to be able to have in bulk. This smells and tastes, yes I tasted, so strong of turmeric my dog completely turned her nose up and walked away. Won't even go near the bowl. You open the container you would think it's straight turmeric. I can't use it for anything else either with it being that pungent. Very disappointing.
No freshness seal, not sure I feel comfortable
This arrived without a freshness seal and some of the powder had gotten out and around the box. Annoying but I’m not sure I should give it to my dog. The other supplement I ordered had a freshness seal (seal inside the plastic lid, so you can tell if someone has tampered with it)
We love it!
I bought this to soak my Cane Corso puppy's kibble in to rehydrate it and help with digestion and nutrient absorption. Not only does it get the job done but she thinks its delicious! I also pour a little bit over my pug's Fresh Pet to warm in up instead of microwaving it and he loves it as well!
Noses up for our dogs
Not a good choice for us. All of them stuck their noses up at it.
