How many mg phosphorus in 100 kcal?

Answer by ChewyNov 10, 2019
This variety contains 0.11% Phosphorus content on an as fed basis (0.66% on a dry matter basis), which is equivalent to 460.00 mg/100 kcal.

Why does it say "intended for supplemental or intermittent feeding only"?

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2018
Nature’s Logic only substantiates their foods using AAFCO Feeding Trials and not by adding synthetic vitamin and mineral packs to help it meet AAFCO nutrient profiles. The cat can testing is in progress but not yet completed, once the trials are completed the AAFCO statement for feeding trail substantiation will go on the can. The food is safe and nutritious enough to feed daily.

do your products have ground up bone in them

Answer by ChewySep 29, 2020
This food does not contain ground bone. For a complete list of ingredients, click the “Nutritional Info” tab, next to the “Description” tab, just under the product photos.

Why is there clay in this food?

Answer by ChewyJun 04, 2021
Montmorillonite clay is used in some natural pet foods as a natural anti-caking agent. It allows high-quality pet foods to remain free of man-made and chemical agents for this purpose. In addition, it is a natural source of minerals so it may bring with it added health benefits to pets.

The ingredients in this pate are all real food. Like beef (obviously, it’s beef-flavored), sardines, apricot, apples, etc. Listen… if this was a human meal on the level of ingredient quality of this, I could see myself justifying a good bit cash for it. The cans are fairly large with enough for two servings, and they are a pate. The smell is unobtrusive to my human nose. But cats will cat, and one of my cats won’t touch it (he is not a wet food fan, and this did not tempt him to convert). My other cat is 18 years old and eats nearly constantly, but he’s ridiculously picky and he seems to like this sometimes and then sometimes he doesn’t. I have given this to him several times, and it’s almost like I have to keep putting it in front of him before he will even try it, then he eats a good bit of it. It’s possibly not an appealing smell to him. He is big on “junk food” of the cat food variety, but he will eat this, and I’ll be rotating it out because he changes his mind daily, as he can because he’s a very old man. But either way, the ingredients are pretty great. I would recommend this for people who care about the ingredients in their cat’s food, particularly if the cat’s palate is a bit more refined than this ancient street cat.

Peter is my only cat that sometimes likes pate food, and he went wild for this when the can was freshly opened. He beelined straight for it and kept coming back for some extra bites over the next couple of hours. This is different than other pates in that it seems a little drier, but that didn’t bother him at all. I would definitely buy this again, my only suggestion would be to have it in smaller cans (2-3 ounce), as he wasn’t as impressed when the can was refrigerated.

My cats eat this uuuuuuup. They can definitely be picky at times but this was not one of those times. They really seemed to enjoy the flavor and I really enjoy the ingredients. The size of the cans is also very nice. Even gave some as a little treat to my dog while the cats got fed and even he ate it right up and he’s the ultimate picky child!

Used to get a shy kitten out of his shell!

My cats all loved this! I used it for trapping community cats for TNR, getting my shelter cats to take their immune supplement, and to help our kittens gain weight

My picky calico cat rated her side dish as delicious! She loved the creamy texture and beef flavor of the pate. I typically warm her canned food before serving, and that enhances the aromatic appeal. Sometimes she will wait atop her grooming table as I prepare her food. Otherwise, she loves eating a portion twice a day in a separate dish next to her water bowl.

Katie Cat normally smells her food before she eats . If she does not like the smell she will not eat the food. She immediately started eating the food after smelling . She had no trouble chewing the food. The food was soft & easy for her to chew. There was enough food in the can for Katie to have two meals. Katie Cat is very picky so this was great that she tried Logic Wet cat food & ate it.

This is a pate with no gravy . I have 9 cats. In the morning & evening I open 3 cans of cat food both pates & filets, (dry food is always available). They eat most of the canned but sometimes leave a little which gets eaten later in the morning/evening. When I offer the Natures Logic as 1 of the 3 cans they always leave most of that one & will pick at it as the morning/night goes by. So obviously they will eat it but not crazy about it . I would not purchase this.

Nature’s Logic canned cat food was not a hit with either of my kitties. Hate to give bad review but I tried everything to get them to eat it. Tried mixing with current canned food, tried mixing with dry food, and tried to offer it to them on its own. Same response every day I tried to feed it - they both walked up to their individual bowl and smelled it and walked away. They absolutely refused it. I was feeding the beef so maybe they would have reacted differently had it been chicken, but I am just not sure.

Two of my cats went bonkers over the first can we opened. Two of my other cats wouldn't touch it. Now when we have tried additional cans, my cats that liked it initially now aren't interested in it again. It is a very "dry" moist food. We had to add water to it to hydrate it up for them to eat the first can. Now it doesn't matter what we do - they just aren't interested. 4 out of 4 cats say no, so ?...

This pate consistency food looks good - moist and smells good. The ingredient list is also promising. The only ingredient I had to look up was Montmorillonite clay, which is supposed to be beneficial for cats. Unfortunately my cat doesn’t like it. To be fair, he prefers a minced, chunky wet food. I am going to pass the rest of my cans to a friend and see if her cat likes it.
