I offered this to my Chihuahua and my boxer mix. My Chihuahua didn’t care for it but my very picky boxer mix loves it. She now will eat one container full in the morning whereas before she wouldn’t eat breakfast at all. And in the evening meal, I put it on as a topper with her regular canned food and medicines and she gobbles everything down without a problem. So this is a miracle food for us; I’ve already ordered more.

I’m not quite sure what I was expecting, but thought maybe it would be sort of a chicken and veggie mix. There are all sorts of ways to get around stuff that claims to be grain free. Well, I should’ve been more careful opening the package because I didn’t realize that the contents were strictly shredded chicken and broth. Splash! So much easier than what I could have prepared for my dog on her own. It is a real treat to see such a high quality product in just the perfect size portion. Nothing artificial about it simply shredded chicken and broth. Simple is best.

It could have been a reaction with my dogs

I have 2 pugs, 8 and 16 years old. I gave them each 1 packet of the Nature's Recipe for dinner and they loved it. They each had another for breakfast. When I got

I have 2 pugs, 8 and 16 years old. I gave them each 1 packet of the Nature's Recipe for dinner and they loved it. They each had another for breakfast. When I got home from work, my house was covered in vomit and diarrhea. Once cleaned up (an hour and a half and 6 loads of laundry later) I was not able to get them to keep anything down and had to take them to the vet the following morning. They were treated and are fine now. So, as much as I would like to give this a good review, I am afraid I cannot.

We primarily used this as a topper for kibble. The containers are very small, so unless you had a really small dog it would take quite a few to feed your dog as a main meal. Our dogs both enjoyed it though, you can see the shreds of meat and sweet potatoes in the gravy. I might buy it on sale or as an appetizer/topper but I wouldn’t purchase as a main course meal.

One of these trays is just the right size to split between them at mealtime as a topping for their regular kibble. It contains white meat chicken and a yummy-smelling broth. All three voted in favor of reordering these!
