Can this bird feeder be mounted on a pole?

Bamboo is a much harder wood to drill than cedar. The bars across the bottom that hold the seed tray can be used to mount a pole mount unit. If mounted on a 4x4, there are post mount units you can mount the same way to the feeder and then fit over the 4x4 post, or you can remove the seed tray and drill directly through the wooden bars and into the top surface of the 4x4 post. It might be best to counter-sink the screws so the seed tray will sit level. The hanger can be removed from the feeder as it won’t be needed. Be aware that any feeder or bird house mounted to a 4x4 post provides easier access for squirrels or raccoons to disturb the feeder/birdhouse.

This is actually a nice feeder, but it does pose a hazard for small birds. I have had a sparrow and a finch get stuck in the suet feeders and died. The tops are

This is actually a nice feeder, but it does pose a hazard for small birds. I have had a sparrow and a finch get stuck in the suet feeders and died. The tops are open, and they fall in headfirst when they reach in to feed. I have since taken a separate hanging suet feeder and fabricated a top for them. If you don't mind altering the product to make it safe for the birds this is a good feeder. If you're not, I would not recomend this.

Arrived broken

It's a nice feeder, but it does not come packaged in its own box. I purchased the feeder, seed, and suet all together. All three items were thrown into a big box

It's a nice feeder, but it does not come packaged in its own box. I purchased the feeder, seed, and suet all together. All three items were thrown into a big box loosely, no cushioning of any kind. The wooden roof of the feeder was split in two pieces (I'll be gluing it back together) and the seed bag was split open and ants got into the box. Not a great way to ship these things.

Deadly for birds! This feeder should be pulled off the market

How I wish I had seen the others’ reviews warning about the open cages for the suet. I pulled a poor little house sparrow out of the feeder yesterday, trapped inside

How I wish I had seen the others’ reviews warning about the open cages for the suet. I pulled a poor little house sparrow out of the feeder yesterday, trapped inside with it’s head through one of the gaps. I put it in a box, but it died overnight from its injuries. I feel absolutely horrible; this is the equivalent of a crib with bars that infants that thrust their heads through and suffocate. DO NOT GET THIS FEEDER. Go for something with fully enclosed suet cages. :(
