About NaturVet Vitamins and Supplements

Digestive Support for Pets

Gastrointestinal upsets can cause your best friend grief and impact his overall health, leading to loose stools and other challenges due to a disturbance in the gut flora. NaturVet Digestive and Probiotic supplements help restore microbial imbalance and promote GI health in your pet by providing the healthy digestive enzymes, gut flora-feeding prebiotics and probiotic microorganisms your pet needs.

How Digestive Enzymes Help

Digestive enzymes aid in the breakdown of food and proper absorption of nutrients for better and healthier digestion. Enzymes like alpha-amylase for starch, protease for protein, cellulase for cellulose and lipase for triglycerides play an important role in how the body breaks down and metabolizes food. Supplementing these enzymes can help make digestion easier for a challenged pet.

Prebiotics Vs. Probiotics

When a GI imbalance occurs, it usually means there are too many bad bacteria and not enough good bacteria in the gut. Probiotics like bacillus coagulans and bacillus subtilis help restore good bacteria to the gut, while prebiotics like fructooligosaccharides provide a food source so they can flourish. Giving your pet a combo of pre- and probiotics can help quickly restore balance after an upset.

Digestive Supplements

NaturVet Digestive Enzyme supplements contain a mix of essential digestive enzymes, prebiotics and bacillus coagulans probiotics to encourage gut balance, good digestion and overall GI health. They’re vet formulated and recommended for food transitioning, sensitive stomachs, flatulence and when recovering from illness.

Advanced Digestive Supplements

NatureVet Advanced Probiotics and Enzymes supplements contain bacillus coagulans and bacillus subtilis PB6 probiotics, which can survive the whole GI tract to promote optimal balance. Digestive enzymes in the formula help break down food for better digestion, too. They are ideal for pets with more severe imbalances resulting from illness, antibiotics, deworming, diet change, or other stressors.

Answer by ChewyFeb 04, 2018
The probiotics can help with flatulence.

Not bad, fixed a few things.

This definitely fixed the gas issue Jade was having, and fixed Lunas bad breath. It took about 2 weeks before I noticed a change. I had her teeth checked no issues vet suggested a probiotic. The one he suggested was sold out. It didn't help with allergies eyes, not strong enough. Overall this did decent.

Our dog likes these as treats

I can't see any change in his gagging or bringing up phelm. They seem like an expensive treat and I won't buy them again.

This stuff is a game changer!

My chihuahua/minpin was having monthly diarrhea, super mucousy, super gross. I tried changing his food a few times and eliminating certain ingredients, and when nothing worked was at a total loss. But since I’ve started incorporating these treats daily, he’s totally different. No more poop problems, and he has way more energy too. Plus, he LOVES these treats more than any others which is a nice bonus. A must have for sure.

Works as expected

We have our GSD on enzymes for his EPI, but sometimes it just isn't enough. Since he started on these chews, he has not had any relapses. Another company was pushing their probiotics to stop itching - we tried these to see if it would help with the itching. No such luck, but it helps with his stomach issues.

Good Stuff

My pup was having problems graduating to adult food. She was making huge piles of unformed stool. It wasn't diarrhea because she had no problem waiting to go out, just unformed stool when she did go. This pretty well cleared up the problem.

Great probiotic chew!

My boy has allergies (food and environmental) and I thought maybe adding a good digestive supplement might help him. It's hard to say if these help on that account, but they can only do his immune system good. Love the ingredients list, he looks forward to this treat after his evening meal. I have used the NaturVet products in the past, love their entire line.

My picky dog loves food!

My 6 year old 25lb heeler/terrier mix has been picky her whole life, and would occasionally to regularly eat grass and throw up foam. When I took her to the vet for it as a 1 or 2 year old, they said she might have acid reflux. Last year, a different vet, I was told she was showing pancreatitis symptoms. I googled what to give her food wise so I changed her diet (the vet told me what I already googled later on when I asked to confirm) and I also read online that probiotics can help dogs with different stomach problems and so I looked up different reviews and decided on this. She LOVES these. She eats them like they're a treat! Ever since I started her on these she ACTUALLY EATS. And FINISHES HER FOOD. She acts like actually likes food now, and I haven't had anymore problems with pickiness/throwing up. The vet didn't recommend it (she wasn't against it I just didnt ask her), I did it of my own accord and wish I had done it YEARS AGO. I'm about finished my 2nd 120ct container. I even started my 116lb lab mix on the powder version of this because he was also irregular with his eating and picky and he now also eats way better than before. Definitely reccomend.

I have to force my dogs to eat these

My Regular Brand has been out of stock for months now and my older dogs gut started acting up due to he's been without his probiotics for so long now so I read reviews and decided to try this brand. I literally have to force all 3 of my dogs to eat these. Its been a few weeks and they still baulk when it comes to eating these. I have to use with holding a treat to get them to eat them. They have not made them sick or anything, it's just tire some having to force them to eat them each morning.

Fur babies

I take probiotics & pre-biotics myself. Since I love these little ‘babues’ I want to do the best for them.
